this game rocks!

it's amazing how even just collecting blast shards is fun!....like....how did they do that!?
collecting shit is never fun in games
it's good how they actually have them on the radar (when you click l3) and not just something you either come across or have to seriously scrounge around and find yourself....(or look at a walkthrough as well i guess)


btw the game didn't need to tell me i should be playing it on hard.....i just prefer it on normal ;):P

Collecting stuff isn't fun unless the environment is quality and/or the platforming element of the game is good. That's why it works in a lot of old school 3D platforming games on the 64 and on infamous.

The great thing about this game is every building is unique.

I hate the bloody spy games missions especially when the reaper runs across the road to somewhere hard to reach without going to ground level.
 
This game is epic, lots of fun sliding on rails and blowing shit up. Of course i became evil and just sit their owning civilians. Also got the preorder stuff from jb when i didnt even preorder, chick was nub behind the counter and just handed it over.

i was going for a fair few to start off coz i want to have the extra bar space before it gets fully going

now i'm gonna start trying the quests out properly
 
****, been playing the game at a mates house the past couple of days on his ps3. So i copied his saved game cos i cbf going through it again and the damn saved file wont let me play it because its a different user. So ****ing annoying, now i have to do it all again. Good thing its an epic game otherwise i would probs use hacks to get myself to where i was
 
All of your reports so far are glowingly positive.

I had a skeptical attitude about this game, mainly due the replayability.

I might hold off buying it for a few weeks to see if you guys are still playing it by then.
 
**** yeah collecting the shards is good because they appear on your radar thingo. You don't have to study a walkthrough to find shit.

350 shards camo? Haha ****. I had read on whirlpool that there were over 300 but damn man that is a lot.

I've been doing a stack of side missions and every now and then do a story mission.

The only real disappointment is a lack of a stats screen like they had in GTA etc but that is extremely minor. I love this game.


edit: scooter... there isn't online but you can play the game twice as a hero and crim so replayability is definitely there, I plan on finishing it as a good guy then cranking it to hard and finishing as a villain.

yeh i can't remember where i saw it but it's 350
and 32 of those satellite things i think
one thing i really wished was that they showed the stunts and what to do to unlock them....i think i've done about 7 of them or something

in gta4 i loved all the stats and it would be cool if it was in this but not a real problem......in gta4 i did barely any side missions because i ended up just rushing the whole thing...not really having HEAPS of fun...it was moire a chore than anything
in this i just go to the closest mission i see and kill as many red cloaked bitches as i can along the way

i wasn't initially going to go through this game twice but i very well might.....i'm going through it as a good guy this time and think i will make it hard next time round also

i also love how you can upgrade cole rpg style whenever the hell you want...

for those who pre-ordered it and got the free extra power.....did you guys have it available form the start or have to unlock it after a while....

coz i put in the code and d/l it before i started playing and i havn't unlocked it yet....

just curious more than anything...i'm sure it will come up as an unlock soon

If you press start it tells you how to get the next one at the bottom of the screen.

It was available from the start for me, I just went to the powers page and then it is the last power. You have to buy the first upgrade before it works.

how good is this game?!!! Unreal!! I've just finished the first island, playing as a good guy. Looking fwd to playing again as a badass I must say

This game is fantastic. I do indeed have a lot of fun jumping around buildings and destroying those annoying enemies. It's very well balanced I must say.

I plan on completing the game twice, I'm being a goodguy for the first time on level normal then on my second playthrough I'm gonna be a badguy and do it on level hard, a clever thing to do for that tough gold trophy because even though I have to act like a prick being a badguy, at least I don't have to get that stupid Black Tar on my face all the time.

also are other ppl stuck on champion??

i've done a TON of good deeds and i capture bad guys, (so i don't lose karma by completely killing them) i constantly heal people for the good xp points and not a movement for about 15 sidemissions and real missions.....i don't understand why there is no movement on the hero meter....

what's the use in having a meter bar like that if every deed you do isn't filling it up or draining it???

i thought maybe i stuffed myself up by accidentally killing too many citizens when i was completing missions.

at least you've given me hope hahaa

I think they've designed it so you can't go around hording heals and side missions and then go through the rest of the story missions super easy with full hero/infamous level powers.

However I'm Hero atm, you don't have to go to far into the storyline (just a few missions in the 2nd island).

I had NFI about this; I got the special edition - do I have to enter a code or some crap to get these blades?

yeh after more playing last night
once i was in the second island it started moving again

i was seriously getting annoyed...the way they set it out makes no sense

but still only a minor complaint

those satellite missions where you have to disable 12 of them from the buildings shit me to tears
