I'll be back in Perth for the Carlton game so hoping to see Dessie and Balla's in the 22.

I'd love to see a forward line of

FF- Campbell Headland Ballantyne
HF- Walters Johnson Solomon

I heard on the news the other day that the club expects Des and chopper to play WAFL this week. Hopefully this is the case and Des will be back for the Carlton game, though id imagine chopper would need at least 2 or 3 games in the WAFL.

Injury List as of 23 June

Ryan Crowley - Foot: Season
Roger Hayden - Leg: 4 Weeks
Des Headland - Quad: Test
Michael Johnson - Ankle: 1-2 Weeks
Chris Mayne - Stress Fracture: Test
Brock O'Brien - Quad: 3-4 Weeks
Rhys Palmer - Knee: Season
Clancee Pearce - Hamstring: Test

It would be good getting Mayne back in the WAFL this week and him getting a run in the AFL again in 2-3 weeks. Des may be up for a walk straight back in?

I hope not. I'd like to see Des earn his spot after a week or two in the WAFL.

If Des comes in and Walters is dropped - it does not send the right message. Let Des put in a blinder at WAFL level and displace one of the guys in starting 22 through superior form.

I do remember seeing Tarrant rubbing his shoulder an trying to swing it round to see if it was ok an he looked in some discomfort.
Was either late in 3rd quarter or late in 4th.
No idea how it happened

Ballantyne back injury wtf i thought it was his hammy or hip. Will be great when we can get Ballantyne and Mayne back in the forward line.

I saw it too but didn't see the incident.

For those who didn't see it at all...

Ch Eagle said that Des was right to go this week, but I agree with Moo, let him come back via Subi. Also, said that Peake is no walk up start either !:thumbsu:
He'll have to learn the hard way !!

Blood oath. We've got great kids busting a gut and doing the right thing. All the team need to prove they are ready to play with the same dedication and determination.

I'm a bit out of the loop at the moment, but that's the first I've heard of this. What was the issue and how did he injure it?

harvey mentioned in his press conference that taz has an issue where his shoulder pops out from time to time, it happens on average once a game, and that he will be right to play this week

Is our medical section incompetent or merely over-optimistic in their injury assessment? Hardly any of our players injured this season have returned to action within the initially advertised timeframe.

harvey was a protege' of sheeds, wouldnt surprise me if he has told them to fudge the figures a bit to mess with the opposition

Maybe we should ask for a refund - false and misleading advertising and all that??:D

Seriously - Brock's quad has been 3-4 weeks since two weeks into the season - must be the quad strain of the century...

Good news for Pav and Fossie, hope they both play.
I think I read somewhere Chopper is playing in the WAFL this week.
Gotta feel for Brock..

Is Drum injured as well?

I see no benefit in playing Pav, early. He needs to be 100%, even if he misses the derby.
