Always concerned when the injury list indicates 6 to 8 weeks, which seems to be code for 'a long time and we dont really know how long'. Horrible bad luck for Broomy and Grundy, but they will be well cared for. Hope to see them playing in the VFL at Vic Park late in the first half of the season, and who knows what might happen after that?

Gault went from 4-6 to available in one week. :thumbsu:
It makes a bit of a mockery of the estimated return dates doesn't it?

Maybe he dipped his groin in the waters at Lourdes?

Also, haven't they said that Krak is playing tomorrow night in the VFL game against AIS? (or am I imagining that?)

One does tend to gain match fitness by playing in matches.

Apparently Bucks said as much at the convention.

It really is just an estimate, a lot of injuries can be impossible to accurately predict. Injuries can heal really fast or really slow seemingly randomly. I suspect if gault does play it was a case of an original misdiagnosis combined with a fast recovery

Just noticed that Hartley has another shoulder injury - bugger!
Anyone know if it's the same shoulder? The article on CFC doesn't make it clear, although it does add:

'In other injury news, Dale Thomas (ankle), Alex Fasolo (hamstring) and Ben Reid (knee) all hold hope of playing football in some capacity this week.'

I guess that's glass half full, right?

I guess they make an original 'guesstimate' then don't bother updating the list accurately, then voila!
Or they did send him to Lourdes...

I think it's much better to look at the numbers in terms of back playing really soon, back in couple and not going to play for a while; rather than the actual numbers listed which are fairly meaningless but some people demand a number.

I get that bit. So am I read the estimate as a return to the seniors and not lower levels?

Is that why Gault was listed as 6 weeks last week and is playing tomorrow? I guess I can pencil in his senior debut for round 6 then? ;)

P.s. I'm just kidding around of course haha

Seriously, their guesstimate can go from 4 to 6 weeks to playing in the space of one week? Who's the frickin doctor at the club? Wow!

I just think the injury list if a load of made up bullocks half the time!

I'd guess that they thought it was a certain grade tear, but it turned up to be a few grades lower and he healed much faster than expected

Definitely a bit of smoke and shadows behind the glass with the injury list.

We were just trying to trick the AIS team, god forbid they knew Gault was going to play, they could work out a strategy to keep him out of it. Now we can spring this on them and catch em off guard. genius !
