Only one change likely this week

Out Burns (think he'll be suspended)

In Choice between

J Cloke (bigger body against the Lions, good form, give him a chance to prove himself)
C Morrison (if fit, but was in danger of being dropped anyway, prefer he came back through the seconds)
B Shaw (good form in seconds but still a few weeks from full fitness)
H Shaw (also good form)
L Davis (no thanks)
Woey (no thanks despite bog for Willy)

I'd take a punt on J-Clo this week, we need a hardened body at the Gabba and its not a suitable opponent for a first gamer.

Who do you match him up on though?

There are enough big blokes at Brisbane to find a suitable matchup. I'd play him off the bench and come on to double team Brown, allowing Clement and Maxwell to play more creative roles.

You serious? He didn't collect Pickett in the head, it got him on the shoulder. He should NOT get suspended for this. I have no problem with the umpire making the report, because it looked like it was bad, but replays show it wasn't, and should either get chucked or at worst not enough points for a week.

Does anyone know the story with travis cloke and paul licuria???
Said on channel nine that licuria had done something to his calf or sumthing and travis was holding his shoulder after the game???

IN: Woey/Morrison if alright

OUT: Rowe

Wat the hell is wrong with josh and when will he be back?

i think burns should get off coz the ball bounced stupid if the ball bounced on picket would have collected and burns would have cleaned him up fair.

so if that happens i think there will be one change

in
H.shaw

out
rowe needs a full game in the 2nds

I don't think Burns will go. No change unless there is any doubt on Travis. If it's touch and go leave him out. Brisbane will target him and he probably needs a weeks rest anyway. If Travis is out then I'd replace him with a smaller player. Heath Shaw should get a shot. Woewodin should be considered. He is far too timid backing back for a game against Brisbane. I wouldn't mind Rowe getting dropped.

Both played the game out so I expect them to come up.

Edit: forgot about Josh. If he's fit I'd run him in the seconds. He needs to get miles in his legs. Doubt he's fit anyway.

Whats happend to Richard Cole? I thought he was going to be a good player for us?

We used our first pick on him (#13 i think it was) he should be a good player but with Dane Swan coming into the side and averaging about 20+ touches a game and doing a good job for us each week ad when you have rebouding defenders such as Benny Johnson and Jimmy Clement he is going to struggle to get a game.

Ins: Shane Woewodin, Heath Shaw (If Burns gets suspended).
Outs: Julian Rowe (I like the kid, but I think he needs some time down at Williamstown), Scott Burns (If Suspended).

Yer thats perfect

Burns would have to get of, I cant recall him being suspended before and as such should rewarded for a good record like other certain players who have been in the past.

Julian Rowe is going to be a fine player one day, but his confidence surely has been shot to bits. The poor bugger finds so much of the pill, just can't hit a target. This shouldn't be read into too much though. Most people thought Cheesey O'Bree was great on Friday night, but 5 of his 15 kicks were clangers. Send Rowey back to Willy for a week or two, get that confidence back, then come back for the last few games and cement a starting spot in the 22.
A massive game against Brisbane probably isn't the best time to give Heath Shaw a debut. Moreover, Malthouse has a habit of bringing in first-game players, (C3 an exception) and playing them on the pine for most of the game, eg. Shackleton, Mullins etc. Perhaps the next week against Essendon would be a better choice.
Could would drop Cam Cloke? Again, his confidence is down, and Freddy Fanning has been more than serviceable over the past few weeks. The only problem would be finding a back-up. God forbid Guy Richards could be match-fit.

Then again, we're playing Brisbane at the Gabba in ominous form. Why not rest everyone and send the Willy team?

2002 Grand Final. Ridiculous report, but got 2 weeks I recall.

I think this match would be the perfect match to try and get Richard Cole into form.
We've seen from the past he likes games in which their is tough body on body situations and would add some strength into our tackling.
This tough challenge also might be wat is needed to bring his confidence back up to AFL standard

Updated version..

Ins: Shane Woewodin, Heath Shaw, Leon Davis.
Outs: Julian Rowe, Scott Burns (Susp), Alan Didak (Susp).

I hope they appeal the Burns case, because I thought he should have got off for sure. I would like them to appeal the Didak case aswell, but I thought it was pretty stupid of Dids to do it in the first place.

Yeah that's what i was thinking, he doesn't mind the hard stuff. Our tackling hasn't been too bad though.

Nice clean fist to the face. Definitely deserved two weeks.

Update:

Out A Didak

In Choice between

L Davis - good form in seconds and ideal replacement, forward for forward. Deserves a recall sooner or later.
H Shaw or B Shaw - to play midfield/bench, with Egan or Burns to replace Didak in forward line
C Morrison - if fit, but replacing a forward with a back upsets team balance

Safer option is L Davis while H Shaw would be a more adventurous selection.

I'd keep Rowe another week.
