Don't get me wrong, there's nothing wrong with it. I did find it interesting that both years they have declared they wouldn't be taking the player that they ended up taking. They didn't even give it a glimmer of hope.

I imagine they'd want to slightly alter the strategy next year just to throw a curve ball. I know that Emma was reluctant to put Davis down as her Pick 10, but after two years of the exact same game she wouldn't make that mistake of going against her gut with the Crows first rounder. And that's where the Crows need to change their game a bit and surprise everyone next year by taking someone they haven't categorically ruled out.
