If interleague were to be played on the week off who would make the team???? From what i've seen and from reputation here is a go at naming a team

Good effort grass roots.

Can only make comment on the langy boys as i have seen them each week.
  • Evans in the centre is spot on.
  • Robbo has been really good in the ruck. Pretty hard to split him, P.Smith and Hora. Clearly the 3 standout ruckmen in the league. Either way you go is okay.
  • J.Kelly would make the side. Ideally though he would be a back flank or back pocket in the interleague side though.
  • D.Brown has not been as good as last year so far. Emergency is probably right.
  • Franklin on the bench. spot on. Good cover both up forward and down back.
  • Dave Williams would make it based on this years form. Has been our stand out player out on the wing. He would be in front in our best and fairest at this stage.
On the rest
  • Get Holland on the field
  • Miles and B.Collins would make my side too. Not sure who for though.
  • Good to see you pick guys like Guillano and Spence Noonan who are not such big names but are having great years.

Cann for Anthony, Miles for Jason Kelly (Miles doesn't play full back for Nyora, but would be the best FB in the comp if he played there.as he did against Donno last year.) Hislop to the bench as a rotating midfielder and either Franklin or Kelly to the BP.
Perhaps also Holland for Tymenson and Morgan for Hughes.

Couldn't play Hughes, Anthony, Cann and Holland in the same team against a decent team though. How many people can run away from the contest to get easy possessions?

Ruskin doesn't play at Nyora.
 
There was an interesting article in todays Warragul Gazette about EDFL interleague and its demise. Personally I don't think that it would have the support of the top players if it were to return.

Especially when its just mickey mouse games that dont mean anything. Not being in the vcfl interleague comp hurts us. When we were in west gippy it meant quite a bit as you had something to play for, a goal

He was just coming into some good form on sat until hurting his ankle. Seemed to be cutting the catani midfeild to shreds but another injury ended all that

Cutting Catani midfield to ribbons is an understatement. I think they were just watching and enjoying the show.

Personally, I think it's dead.
It's a long weekend so who wouldn't take the opportunity to take the time off to get rested??
Second, & this is vital, there's going to be a stipulation.
The EDFL heirarchy would pick the side AND if you don't want to play (baring injury) you could face a 2 game ban.

Now would you support that??? This isn't the AFL!!
 
Yeah I agree. I would much rather a week off than to play some interleague game.

Let's have a poll on this.
Next training session, have a quick whip around of the team with the "fine print" involved and post the reply.

I reckon nobody would play.

Have a look what happened up in the murray area. A bad facial injury to a top defender. These guys don't get paid, either.

Massive LOL at the interleague teams picked in the Warragul Gazette. That paper is beyond a joke.

they were pitiful.....also no Luke Hughes, he's averaging 40 touches a game and dominating. Him not making either side is the biggest joke.
