I hardly see any Doduo's! And I need more so I can get a Dodrio!

Im the same, need the dodrio entry for the pokedex

You have no idea how lucky you are. Would be happy to never see one again in this game!

For me its Zubats and Psyducks. Psyducks where I work and Zubats around my home.

For me it's Growlithes, Sandshrews, Pidgeys, Rattatas and Geodudes.

Sooooo many Geodudes.

Heaps of gyms in my town have got 1200cp+ Arcanines holding the fort.

I have a 909cp Arcanine.

There's 3 major problems with this game that really need to be fixed. I hope Niantic are listening to feedback or committed to developing the game.

1. Player level = Pokemon CP.
Why is this a problem? Because "Pay to Win" players will quickly gain a significant advantage. Those Pokemon with 3000+ CP are not rare. They aren't strong because the player put a lot of work into them. It's simply on the back of being a high level. I think the game would be fairer if player level gave some bonus, but not directly related to Pokemon level.

2. Pokemon are not found by walking around!
There's nothing but rats and bats in my suburb. I can walk around my streets and go to the park and get nothing but the common Pokemon. If I go to the Perth Bell Tower and Kings Park I find hundreds of people standing in one spot using lures to catch rares. People aren't going out to discover Pokemon, they're literally sitting in one spot. I don't think this was how the game was intended to be played.

3. Gyms are too easy to take over.
A few days ago there was a 1700 CP Lapras on top of a blue gym - this was when all the other Pokemon I have seen were around 900-1000 CP. I thought this gym would never fall! 10 mins later it was controlled by red team and had a 300 CP Zubat on top. Somehow I don't think 6 Pokemon Vs 1 is fair... All red team had to do is attack the gym a few times and the prestige fell to zero. Wouldn't it make more sense to have 1 vs 1? It doesn't matter how strong your pokemon is - 6 pokemon will take it down.

I'm not wasting my time on taking gyms anymore. I'm also getting sick of having to go into the CBD to catch anything other than a Pidgey.

Let me set the scene.

Sitting around watching a movie (some weird-arse thriller named We Need to Talk About Kevin; a pretty good movie, thanks for asking) last night with Go running. I'm just under 500 XP away from ranking up. I only have three Poke Balls left, though, so in order to rank up my next target needs to be either something I can evolve, or something to add to my Pokedex. I check my candies. I have enough to evolve a Pidgey, but having just evolved my last one, I don't have a Pidgey on me.

Five minutes later, I feel my phone buzz. I look at it and there's a Pidgey right on top of me. I tap it, and spend a good few seconds staring the mother****er down to assert my authority, before catching my breath and beginning my journey to level 7 goodness.

I strike the first Poke Ball pretty well, getting some nice curve and the perfect angle. My depth perception fails me, though, and the ball falls short. I compose myself and stare down the bastard some more. The poor thing has no chance. That useless arseh*le Ash may have failed to catch you once before, but I'm the real Pokemon master around these parts.

After sufficiently intimidating the runt, I swipe once more. No curve this time; no need for anything fancy, I've got this. I nail it. Perfect angle, perfect depth...but the Pidgey has other ideas. He decides now would be the perfect time to rebel against me and do its cry. As a result, it charges forward, and I watch as the Poke Ball sails cleanly over its head. What an arse hat.

My last chance. I look through the Pidgey's eyes into its soul, take a deep breath, and hold my finger on the Poke Ball for a few seconds; watching, waiting. I see it begin to jump and I know my chance is coming. I wait for it to land and then throw the ball perfectly again, knowing that the Pidgey is unlikely to jump for a little while after just coming down...

... but it was a fake out; the Pidgey lands and almost immediately jumps once more and I can almost see the campaigner start to laugh at me. The Poke Ball advances in slow motion as I watch through my fingers. It lightly clips the Pidgey's foot and falls onto the ground, mocking me.

I threw my phone.

The Pokemon animations not stopping when the ball is in the air IS SO ANNOYING

Finally got my hands on a Rhyhorn this morning after legging it down the road before those pesky twerps who roam this area got there. Only 148CP but was proper chuffed, something different to the Zubat, Nidoran and Clefairy farms that I apparently live around.

Also, I haven't even seen a freaking Pidgey or Eevee yet! How is that even possible!

EDIT: Nevermind, just saw a Pidgeotto. But still, a Pidgeotto before a Pidgey.

Sooooo many Geodudes.

I could build another Great Wall of China with the amount of Geodudes I catch. In fact they are the only mon I sometimes ignore.

Had a squirtle in norf freo today, walked the wrong direction thinking it was closer to the train station. Turns out that it was on leighton beach and slowly disappeared :(. looks like someone caught it.

Ive found heaps of rare Pokemon around the burbs. Just look for areas with lists of rustling grass. There is a creek near my house and it's reliably giving me something new every day. Yesterday was vulpix, the day before Charmander. I've also found bulbasaur, abra, magma, hitmonchan and ghastly around the burbs. Sure, there are a heap of common mons too. I've also spent some time in oakleigh which has 6 stops in range of each other reliably with lures and have found lots there too, but not anything crazy rare to often, mostly just bulk of good stuff (evolved my polywhirl to wrath last night).

For gyms I'd love prestige and levels not to drop. You have to beat every Pokemon there with you 6 in one go or try again. It's easy to take down 3 and then run, heal up and than use your 6 mons on whatever is left.

What the **** is this curve ball shit. Until yesterday I had never thrown one. Now, every ****ing throw is one no matter how straight I swipe and I sure as hell haven't changed method. A lot of pokeballs are disappearing because of this shit.
