Yep Cheers LB it is good to get honest opinions on the apps as most just talk crap about and say its the best or the complete opposite that is sh!t and you dont know what to believe etc etc it is hard to distinguish what is True and what is not over the Internet. But like you said if it is not that stable i think i will steer clear of it!

But what do you mean by unstable to be exact?? Does it not connect??? Fails to recieve the app being transfered?? Does it not find other phones with Bluetooth etc etc. Just Interested know why you say it is Unstable. :)

Well funnily enough I checked out Cydia today and you get a free 7 day trial but after that it will cost you 4 euro's to continue using it :thumbsd:

As far as the bugs go, every review I have read has mentioned that they had problems at some stage. Mainly just buggy stuff which they found ways to avoid. Sending music is apparently rubbish as the songs appear unnamed once they arrive on your phone. That would get very annoying. It also doenst handle large picture files very well.

Hope that helps :thumbsu:

Maybe in the next update or new iphones?

Does anyone know of any flash software or apps we can run atm? I know apple are refusing to release any sort of flash software but seriously, some websites are useless without it and that pisses me off.

Had mine since last Friday, very happy so far. Initially set up a trial on Apple's cloud, MobileMe, but have now figured out how to sync calendar and contacts to Google.

Has anyone else managed to sync calendar and contacts to Google? Calendar works like a charm, Contacts though are doubled up.

Under Groups, I have
- All Contacts
- From My PC
- Gmail (Exchange)

I don't know what the "From My PC" is, it's just another copy of my Gmail Contacts, thus, All Contacts is everything double up. I'd also like to know if I can get my groups from Gmail Contacts to show up as groups on my iPhone.

Qucik question to those who have JB. Once you have run the red snow, instaled cydia etc then whats the next step to get the apps on the iphone 3gs.

Also cydia is coming up with Unable to Connect (Timed Out). Wifi is going strong and can go on Safari and everything so no problem with that.

EDIT: Got Cydia working.

To get apps, I am assuming App Store apps you don't want to pay for.

First open Cydia and goto the Manage tab. Hit the Sources directory, then goto Edit and click the '+' to add a repo. Type in cydia.hackulo.us and hit Add source. It will say something about illegal apps, ignore it and hit yes.

Once it updates, goto the Changes tab and there will be some new apps. Que the Installous package and the AppSync for 3.0 package. This will download the patch that bypasses Apples check that you purchased the app.

Once those have downloaded and installed you are ready to go. You can either download apps on your computer and then use iTunes to sync. Or you can use Installous on your iPhone to get them directly.

If you want to use your computer, the site hackulo.us is the ultimate site for cracked IPAs. It's the same site that Installous uses. Usually within a day of an app appearing in the App Store, it will pop up on there.

Hope that helps.

Yeah I grabbed it. I think the key is to check the Free Apps list every few days cos there's always something new there.

Grab the updated Facebook app if you haven't got it yet.

And also check out the US Open app if you're into tennis.

I usually check here as well. Mostly price reductions, but there are some good free ones still available.

LOL, I got stuck at like Level 6 and thought Bugger This! :p

Not really. Only a select few that require some sort of payment. Usually those that get rejected by Apple, but the developers need to recoup losses on the app.

smells of jizz in this thread. few questions:

1. What is wrong with Crackberry? Why would I get a 3Gs over a crackberry?

2. Those apps - like the AFL app, are they once off purchases or yearly or monthly subscriptions?

3. How do you pair it to your outlook or notes? how does the whole email thing work?

iPhone is better. Thats why.

Nah, seriously though. Apps are one off payments. Some require a fee for each update, but I haven't encountered one of those before.

Email is a native app, that has Push capabilities. Not sure with Outlook, but pretty sure it is only USB sync..don't think they've done wifi sync.

just been to whirlpool and the general consensus is:

crackberry = work
iphone = toy

Apparently crackberry heaps better for email and messaging and iphone lots better for apps.

Can the people here who have swapped from blackberry to iphone tell me if they miss the alleged superior messaging capability of the crackbezza?

I've had my iShizzle for 3 weeks and love it. I sync with Gmail, Google Contacts and Google Calendar, no Outlook for me, I'd rather be in the cloud. I haven't tried connecting to my work email yet, I sorta don't want to really.

I think those that pass the iPizzle off as a mere toy haven't investigated how to use it productively. If from my iHizzle I can remotely connect to a server at work and execute a script, stop a service or shut down and reboot, am I having fun or working productively?

The blackbizzle may be better for email and messaging, but is email real work? I have nothing against them, it was never really on my radar, for me my choice was between iDizzle, Google Andrizzle and Palm Prizzle, and my choice now may be different to that in 18 months. Any of the above were going to be an improvement on my 2 years with WinMo.

But yeah the apps is a huge selling point. I'm not talking about games, I don't really play games. Like when I had Palm Pilots for 10 years, I was always looking for those apps and utilities that would make me more productive and make my life easier. Many developers are and will continue to write very cheap and useful apps for the iPhone. I want my PDA of choice to be my electronic Mars Bar, I want it to help me work, rest and play, and so far it is winning!

So if I was to get an iShizzle and someone sent me an email with an image on it, what happens? Does it download automatically, or can I see the size of it and choose whether to download it or not?

I don't want some mofo to send me a bulky email that I don't want and go over my d/l limit. How does this all work?

When I get my emails from Essendon with the weekly team, it'll download a small portion of the image, then tell me it's not complete and ask if I want to download the rest (in this case, usually 250kbs). So no, it won't just download the whole bulky email straight away.
