Bell will be picked up but he'd be lucky to get starts with teams. Unless Pune take him, they need all the batsmen they can get.

Didn't Pune get kicked out?

In general the consistently strong teams (Chennai and Mumbai) have been strong because of their core group of Indian players instead of their internationals.

Especially Chennai with - Dhoni, Raina, Ashwin and Jadeja in India thats a lethal combination. Then throw in Hussey, Bravo and du Plessis and you understand why they have a solid foundation.

The best thing about the Delhi squad this season is that it is very hard to pick the best XI. Good depth, especially with our local players. I'd start with...

Murali Vijay
Mayank Agarwal
Kevin Pietersen (c)
Ross Taylor
Dinesh Karthik (+)
Manoj Tiwary/Saurabh Tiwary
James Neesham
Nathan Coulter-Nile
Rahul Sharma
Mohammad Shami
Jaydev Unadkat

That's a great middle order!

Suggestions: Manoj over Saurabh, and bring Rahul Sharma higher up the order, he can bat quite well.

I'd lean towards Manoj ahead because, from memory, he can bowl a bit and is a top fielder. Rahul can't bat ahead of Neesham or NCN (who has an average of 20 with SR of 120+ in T20s!)

Don't know much about Agarwal, but wouldn't Manoj open and Saurabh in the middle order?
As far as I remember Manoj is a middle order batsman. Agarwal opening is a must because he's a slogger type, and we'll need that to counter Vijay up the other end.
