i hope that this is not going to happen, but it should be said.....and i'm aware some of you might not accept the validity of it,but still,it should be known.
a friend of mine who is friends with another person who was over in london on holidays relayed this to me tonight while at work.
apparently she was travelling on one of the subways when she found a guys wallet, looked in it to see the ID and found 20000 pounds in it. she recognised the person in the ID and went chasing after him, caught up to him and returned his wallet.
he offereed her all the money in the wallet which she wouldnt take,in the end he gave her this advice.............dont be in london on October 21.......this monday
he said this with a straight face too
she went to the police and they asked his name etc,she said it,turns out to be the 3rd most wanted terrorist in the world
this all happened 2 days ago, shes now back in australia as she got the first available flight home
apparently all the authorities and stuff know about this
hopefully its just a bad rumor, but these days i guess we shouldnt take anything lightly:(
anyone here know anyone who could probably confirm this though?

Check the suggestions board -- Someone posted about this three days ago, except that it was going to be the 25th of October.

You sure your mate didn't get it from an email and acted as if it was passed to him first hand? Other than seeing the posts here, a couple of people at Uni have also heard about it, which kinda dismisses the 'top secret' thingy. Sounds like another one of those "convenient" rumours that go around, just to scare the shlt out of people, if you ask me.

Another point; who looks at (and memorises) the name listed on ID in a stranger's wallet? And surely the third most wanted terrorist in the world wouldn't have have had his real license/ID with him? He got into the country with that passport? "Tick box B if you are here on Business. Tick box C if you are a wanted criminal/ leader of a fundamentalist group, and are visiting London in order to launch a jihad/ terrorist attack against the western world".

Just like the flight manuals (Suicide Bombing for Dummies  ) they "found" in a couple of Arabic vans next to the airport.

Don't know what to believe to be honest. Praying that people are way off the mark with this one though.

yeah, was about to say..

heard this on the radio this morning...

heard that part about the advice 'dont be in london on the XX..'
cant remember the date they said tho...

Yep, I've been sent the same email 3 times this week, all from very 'reliable' sources, yet each with slight differences.

With several best friends and mates living in London, I hope like anything it's not true.

Sadly wouldn't surprise me though if they were the next target. :(

Apart from anything else, you'd need a shoe box to put 20000 quid in, not a wallet.

Urban legend... :o

My ex-girlfriend told me the same thing on the phone last night...and I just laughed.

Cmon - these started about 3 weeks ago!

Everywhere has been mentioned - even Chapel St. for fu(ks sake!

Besides, last week in a paper - Sydney morning Herald I think (I was there for 2 days) they ran an article on this "warnings". It was a routers or AP story I think, so Im sure other papers would have published it.

They are going off all around the world stating different places and times. The exact same story but different places/times.

Its all crap.

Hopefully just a rumor...

Well my brother is at London right now. He works there at the moment... and we're going to ring him about this, and tell him to stay the hell away from London for a day or two. Hopefully it's just a bad rumor, but you cannot take things too lightly these days... :(

WOW! i think its all bull****!
i heard the same story, but different.. about a guy at school.
his brother was near the 'TUBE' in london and this arab guy walks past him and drops his wallet. He picks it up and gives it back, the Arab guy says thanks and says 'oh.. and dont hang around here on October 23rd' the other guy said.. ohh emm yeah..
and they both walked off..

too many of these same stories circulating! perhaps its a real arab guy delibartly dropping his wallet to play a prank or that its made up stories.
