Is Sunday a ticketed game?

Usually only the games where they are expecting big crowds - this is not one of them. AFL site under Ticketing usually tells you - or ring Ticketmaster - since afl.com.au is awful.

Is Sunday a ticketed game? I cannot find out anywhere.

No it's not, top level General Admission. GFC email said so anyway.

Besides exactly how many people from Geelong will travel up on a Sunday night FFS? I'm only a 15 minute train ride from the ground and not impressed with the 5pm timeslot. :thumbsd:

Shut up you :p

I don't see why the game couldn't have been on in the arvo. Didn't they trial 'twilight' matches a number of years ago? Same with Monday night footy.. I seem to recall everyone hating it back then. Anyway, will be interesting to see how many GFC fans show.

Many will notice in about 5-10 years time more and more later games being played, even the Monday night concept used in the NRL will probably be trialled.

The sunday twilight is purely for tv ratings, if they could they would have a Sunday night game (biggest rating night of the week) to boost tv ratings.

The fans aren't as important anymore, especially when you can get so much more $$ from tv rights.

ahhh, the good ole days, and on the sunday you would go to lakeside oval to watch the ressies and get signatures of the david bolton's, denis lenaghan's, rod waddell's, darren jackon's, etc.

memories....

Lol, im not that old!! Lakeside Oval??
All i know are Waverly, Western Oval and Princes Park. And thank god Geelong never had to go to Victoria Park either! (At least when i was following them ;) )

As for the crowd, my guess will be somewhere between mid to late 20s. If Kent was playing, it'd have been a full house!! :D

Who died and made you the boss??

Nah... we wouldn't need anyone from our team to make a fool outta him. He would been perfectly capable doing that aaaaaaalll on his own! (and maybe with a little assistance from Richo) :D

lakeside oval is old south melbourne home oval. when south melbourne went to sydney, this was used as the venue for the match of the round in the ressies.

i think i saw peter riccardi in his first season playing in the ressies at victoria park.

ahhhh, more tears welling up.
