Is this comic strip funny?

While looking at cricket articles on the Internet, I spotted this cricket comic strip in a Caribbean newspaper.

Is it just me, or is this comic strip not only unfunny, but it doesn't even have a proper attempt at a joke in it?

You want funny? Go and read the Fred Basset comic strips in the Herald Sun. Seriously, has there ever been one that was even slightly amusing? Waste of space IMO.
