How did they know he was going to be a gem ?
Did enough training with the club with AFL players that they saw his potential. They probably didn't expect him to thrive at the top level so soon, I saw him as a project player. Keep him in until (if) his form drops. Love the factory that he, Reid and Bolton have brought to the team.

He is ahead of Walter’s on form. We need games into him. Bring Somny in when he tires, give him a rest and have him back again.

If he can lose 8-10kg for next season and add a little muscle he will be ridiculous to watch next to our other forwards.

Wombies are all muscle, no fat. Even speeding trains bounce off them.

Play him until he tires, then rotate back to the WAFL for refreshing. Rinse and repeat.

It impresses me someone his height has had 2 good games without once playing for a free kick.

There's some genuine talent there.

His ability to compete in the air is surprisingly good. Does the basics very well, and doesn't try to do too much.

Great recruit. Last year was his first year in the SANFL, before that he was playing country footy so it has been a very sharp rise.

The 50 against English was very funny
Agree with other comments about how it was called, but how entertaining was it to see the smallest bloke on the field clamber over one opponent and genuinely think he could find a way to stop a guy 40cm taller than him from taking an overhead mark?

That, and the shot of him hiding behind Jones at full forward ahead of one of the centre bounces.

Plenty here thought he was for cuddles with Kozzie

Keep Walters for back up later in the season.
Don't mess with the wombat while he is doing magic things.

His stats in the sanfl weren't great.
I was not very excited when we brought him in.

Small forwards role translates very well from state level to AFL level.

Key position players and midfielders at state level often struggle with the jump up to AFL level due to the size difference at AFL level, on top of the increased speed and need for composure and skill execution.

Small forwards normally always have enough speed and skills for AFL, and due to their role the size doesn't make as big a difference as it does for other positions.

With Dudley's rise to stardom.. do we even need Kozzie?

Joking! .... a little bit
Duffield asked the same question.

Bolton plays through the middle a lot. Reid can play through the middle as well.

I think we can play Switta, Kozzie, Dudley, (3 talls) and let Bolton and Reid run through the middle.

Even Kozzie and Switta can run through the middle for small bits of the game.

The size discrepancy was what I originally meant was funny: It's not the size of the dog in the fight, it's the size of the fight in the dog.
