Yesterday was hotter than today, though, I reckon.
I went looking for xmas presents today, walked the length of 3 suburbs. So yep, the heat got to me a bit.
Worse still, the missus, myself and a mate were thinking of going camping around the big or little desert after new years ... now the news reports has made as realise what idiocy that would have been!

we get, what something like 10 or so reaaaly hot days a year and everyone complains!! enjoy it while its here!
think of how much better people look in summer. and you can actually see that people exist coz they come outa hibernation. .... ya?

Plus it will be close to mid to high 30's in the next few days. Guess i will be staying at home, aircon on, and hopefully my damn dvd player will get tuned soon so i can watch dvs and videos!!

You folks should be out working on your righteous tans like I did during our Summer over here. After you spend enought time out there enhancing your glorious bronze glow, you don't notice the heat. You just walk around all brown and white teeth while other people are trudging along, sweating and with their tongues hanging out.
We're heading into our freezing months. Please don't disappoint me by hiding inside with the AC.

Agree Mooster, bloody hell a few days of hot weather & people are complaining already, it is so good to finally be hot after freezing for 5 months.

Same here, after enduring months of the constant "how cold is it in Ballarat?" jokes from everyone on BigFooty, and otherwise...
I'm relishing this summer heatwave. I love summer. Having spent much of my life less than an hour from Santa Cruz, I've gained a fondness for the sand and surf over the years... not to mention a fair tan.
And where I'm at now, Jen and I are not that far from Lake Wendouree, either-- less than 15 minutes away, in fact. And if we want to go to the beach to escape the oppressive summer heat, Geelong and the Surf Coast is just an hour away.
Which is what we did last Sunday. And damn, did that swim in the ocean feel wonderful!
Enjoying the summer heatwave, while it lasts...

Official maximum in Perth - 40.2 degrees centrigrade at about 3:55pm ish. So wot did you fellow WA people spend the day doing? I sat at home, aircon on, wishing my damn dvd/vcr player would get tuned soon!
