I know people blame the recruitment staff, but surely the development side of things needs to be looked at. You might occasionaly draft a Selwood who takes to footy straight away, but the large majority of players will need coaching when they arrive. From an outsiders perspective it looks like players come to Richmond and don't improve.

The players have deficiencies, but its up to the coaching and his staff to make the players work on those so that they dont stand out like they currently do.

It's blatently clear that whatever was done in the off season was not enough.
You would think that a coach in year 5 would have worked his tanned butt off wouldn't you.

The Coach has to wear the blame, the CEO as well.

But seriously Bowden will retire before the year is out, Richo has 1 more year.
Brown will be offered 50% of what he's paid or he can leave.
Simmonds has 1 more year.

Brown isn't as valuable as many think, he's only a small forward that doesn't apply pressure and we have a few like him.
