Nope. I want foley in the guts from the first bounce, not five or 10 mins in. The game was shot after 10 mins. We won't have a choice about not winning more than 4 games this year. Our side and game plane is woeful under wallace. Were you there today? Did you like what you saw? The 2 teams were almost identical from last year. Why were we so poor? What's your take? Are tivendale, pettifer, johnson, richo, bowden, simmonds going to improve any more? These blokes are holding our development back. They're finished. Done. We need more talent injected. We don't have enough right now.

Just out of interest, how many handballs did foley have? Tucks stats, 6 kicks 23 handballs. Bloody horrible. I thought this game was called football? Goals don't come by hand. Collingwood had a stack of players who kicked goals. We rely on 2 or three.

We actually had nine different goal kickers today. Collingwood had 10.

Let's not forget carlton get another priority pick if they win less than 5 games. Probably ANOTHER NO 1 PICK!!! ( I think)
If both Carlton and Richmond win 4 games this year then we get pick one as we won less games than them last year

Yeah and so do I but is that FOleys fault?

It makes the 28 possessions all the more impressive.

Foley had 12k, 16hb btw but at least he was in and under and not participating the pass the spud around all that much to rack them up like Tuck or Johnson.

I dont have a problem with playing the kids, Im not saying we should keep Tivendale, Petts etc in the team just because they're "senior players."

What I am saying is that if we play the kids, Edwards, Polo, McGuane, Collins, Riewoldt, Hughes and Casserley into the side we play to win and nothing else. If we lose the rest of the games, ok fair enough, but if we play and somehow "let games slip" I'll be ____ing furious. If we play kids we need them to win as much as possible and if that means 5 games, so be it. I dont care about the PP, it doesnt make a difference to me, it wont make the difference between a premiership and runner-up imho when it comes to it and I'd rather see the boys sing that mighty theme song again getting some morale into some young kids.

This thread makes me sick after round ____ing three for christ's sake!!

Not that i don't agree with the sentiments, just that it's come to this again!!!

Is there money around to buy a midfield? We'd better not be paying any over priced "Ben Hollands" at the moment!!

What's the bet this week white will be dropped along with morton? This coaching panel is wrecking these kids. Their confidence is shot. We are the only club capable of making quality kids look ordinary. The pies have injected a lot of youth over the last 2 years and ALL of them are looking like seasoned campaigners.

I agree with what you are saying phoenix but have a question for you
And I will answer it from my perspective as I ask it.
Round 22 we have 4 wins on the board and sit on the bottom of the ladder having just won our second game in a row and in the best form we have been in all year. Above us Melbourne who have only 4 wins as well but have a better percentage.
The loser of this game gets Natanui and if Richmond lose we also get Rich or Hurley.
If we win we get Rich or Hurley?

I would don the red and blue for the day and hope that the margin was not to much but I could not in all honesty sit back and hope for a win when such a huge prize awaits the loser.

Well for pick 19 in danger last year I sat at the G and cheered the Tigers on with not a care in the world that pick 19 with a potential one the year after was on the line after that ball was bounced. I dont think it would change with picks 1 and 3 to be honest, I have everything against it.

If doesnt answer it enough the above post probably does.

I hate losing, I just hate it and I see it enough.

The Saints showed it, and so have Carlton so far. High picks just dont give you a free ticket to premiership paradise or even top 8 paradise.

Club culture, leadership and morale does. The high picks help but as the best clubs show, pick 7 (Selwood) and pick 17(Harry Taylor) etc., can be just as good in the instant aspect and later on, if not better than pick 1 can be the later picks are in the right environment.

Bang on Pheonix , Right on the money. I still think we have the cattle to make tthe 8 we just need to get rid of the Tivendales , Hydes , and drop any player out of form. I thought they should of made whole sale changes this week but no one is playing for their spot at the moment. McMahon can have a run for Coburg , Deledio, Tuck and Brown should be looking over their shoulders.

White maybe, but surely they'll be able to see White played the best midfield defense today. :o

And Morton, well lets hope not. The only one who work and works and works to present besides Richo.

Bang on again Pheonix , just look at the 4 players that were chosen ahead of Franklin. Not just one (Tambling) like everyone remembers. Win Win Win , Culture creates great Clubs ours is being tested on this board all the time.

Last year it was only pick 19 at risk and I also sat there and cheered us all the way to the line but this year i think the gain is way to high to pass up

We must not win more than 4 games this year. The priority pick is a must. For anyone who was there today (like me) and saw that performance, it's quite clear we have a number of players who clearly do not belong on an AFL list.

And by the way Terry, if you firmly believe we are on the right track with the totally inept game plan you have in place, then your seriously should consider resigning. Our players are totally confused and look disinterested.

Wash your mouth out with soap.

Tanking isn't what Richmond is about.. go support Carlton if you want that rubbish ffs.

Did you stay till the final siren?

we need

NICHOLAS NAITINUI!!!!

I sincerely hope we win enough games to NOT get a priority pick.

If we do receive it Naitanui is NOT the answer, yes we need a ruckman but he is smaller than Richo, just has a huge leap and at his age he will be looking for petrol tickets in the AFL by half time.

We need Rich and Hurley more as Rich is a highly skilled mid and Hurly is a strong KP backman which we desperately need.

Yes, will take time to develop but these players are more urgent than Naitanui.

Don't worry Rich will go no 1 and he'll be ours. Natanui will go 2 and hopefully we will take Hurley at 3 or Yarran.

Spot on .... thrown in Thursfield who was a Rookie as well

I'm backing this one too.

Foley, King and Thursfield are the only 3 players that will play long term footy for us

For all that talent, Lids is a big disappointment. Thomas was more damaging and looked a better player today

Maybe Wallace has screwed the kid up by moving him around so much. Whatever the reason, I expected Lids in his 4th year to be better than Browny was when he joined us. He aint even close

Tambling is close to being a write-off.

No i didnt. I left at half time. I had enough of;

1. Watching the the 15 players on the field (foley, thursfield, pattison exempt) wearing yellow and black pretenting to be footballers and pretending to care about the RFC.

2. The inept coaching performance and lack of any cohesive game plan once again

2. The feral collingwood supporters around me.

Is that ok with you?
