What I find strange, or perhaps not strange but dodgy, is that we're told that AFL is investigating and may give a certain consequence, but the AFL never gives a consequence or makes a comment about these things. It always comes from the clubThis may be for more learned individuals than you or I, but does the AFL’s illegal drugs policy apply out of season? Say for instance the drug use took place in October 2018 during the players mandated break does the AFL still have jurisdiction? I’m not sure about Ginnivan, but Crouch and Stengle were charged with conduct unbecoming and I believe both incidents took place within the AFL season window. The weird part is Crisp and the club have 5 days to get their story straight and given the circumstances I would hope they tell the AFL anything that sees him avoiding suspension.
