Club legend. Hope he does well next year and becomes an Arden St cult hero just like Drew Petrie!

Loved watching him play, this actually is making me feel old, one of the few players who I remember seeing from the very start and knowing he'd be there for a while.

I think he's in for a shock when he rocks up to pre-season and sees the only cable machine has an out-of-service tag dated 2017 and nobody knows when it is going to be fixed.

I would actually love to see Jack trigger his third year and finish off in style. 68 more goals to 600 and I think he thoroughly deserves to get there. Been a huge polarising player but even with the brain fades and what not he was an elite player in his day and one of the modern day games second fiddle forward

Still in disbelief that we basically gave him away for free. :sadv1:

We could have done something like 52,70 and 88 for 54,72 and Darling.

That’s what the Sam Mitchell trade looked like and he was the Hawthorn B&F that year

Trading Darling frees up ~$800k of salary cap money, opens up a list spot and will allow us to play Allen, Waterman and Jack Williams in the forward line without being too tall like we were with Darling as a 4th tall this year

Darling gets to play 1-2 years longer than he would’ve had he stayed so we weren’t going to stand in his way of achieving that by haggling over a draft pick or two

It’s been a well managed exit for a loyal player who gave everything to the club over 14 years. No malice or ill will from either side

It’s a better result than watching him spend 2025 playing WAFL like Gaff did this year

We probably could've done something like that if we actually had draft picks to play around with...how the hell do we only have three draft picks? Goes to show how very little dare we've been as a club over recent years. Richmond got picks 42, 44, 50, 60, 69, 75

Well done Jack ...the man child

loved his early years and his forward craft with JK...a great partnership up forward

Enigmatic player but when on is awesome to watch...loved his 3rd quarter in the grand final and before that he had a period where he was the best player in the league before he got injured

and his durability was his greatest asset... injuries where few and he fronted up each week on the oppositions key backs

and lets remember jack was not overly tall for a key forward..I have never seen a player get hit in the head as often as jack from key backs and not get a free kick

298 games 500 goals plus....a legend of the club

good Luck at the kangas

Did lol when I saw in his Trade Radio interview that he thinks he is still capable of being a 50 goal a year player.

Go well Jack.

If he got to play deepest and got the ball kicked to him plenty, why not?

Just needs some of that Charlie Curnow special sauce from the umpires and he'd piss it in. Very reliable set shot still, although his range is starting to desert him unsurprisingly.

Still in pretty good nick physically. Hasn't missed much footy in the past few years, and his running capacity is still excellent. It's difficult to judge forwards... particularly in shitty sides like ours. Plus, he's sacrificed his game to help Waterman.

50 goals a year is ambitious. He's only done that twice in his career. But 30-40 would be pretty good. Even 20-30 would be ok if it means that Larkey kicks 70+.

Thanks JD ,one our most unassuming gun players just got the job done week in and week out probably entitled to slow down after the Covid hit years as age crept up and opposition coaches were able to nullify his game ..
Good luck at North JD , the Vics will appreciate your talents up close ..
