before you ban me for a week again... What did you think of his performance tonight? He Scored 2 of the teams 6 goals in wet conditions.

He was alright, not the worst. He's only 22, got years ahead of him and hasn't yet reached his peak.

It's our midfield that's the issue, I'm hopeful his stints in the midfield might give us a realistic option there when we might need to try something else.

Darling's biggest problem is that he allows a lot of rebounding off contests he's involved in. He needs to be able to lock the ball in more from contests and not let it be part of a link-up goal for the opposition., which happens a lot. Same for Hill.

would it be a wise idea to give Darling a month long stint in the midfield? Freo have done the same thing with Pav. Kennedy and McGovern alone would still be a good tall duo up in the forward 50.

He's been having stints in the midfield for most of the year, and I agree that perhaps making him a full time mid for a while could reap benefits. I also agree that having the Governator come on makes it easier to do this.

He has the body, just needs the tank and awareness.

My opinion still stands Darling had a shocker in the Granny Just like Ballantyne. Kennedy should be gien some slack. The one game Kennedy had a shocker was the Granny too.

Darling has shown what he can do in plenty of games. He won't be the first player to have a shocker on the biggest stage, and he won't be the last.

Darling in the past has proven his big game credentials. One of the few who stands up when the heat is on.

Had no pre-season, started okay enough but his form at the back end of the season was very average.

Still yet to peak and I wouldn't trade him for anything. Functioned well enough as our prime KPF when Kennedy went down, performed even better when he was the second tall. I consider the GF an aberration and not a trend.
