FWIW he played ok last night but to have one of your big forwards who is built like a machine, shat himself at the thought of an impending contest with a 19 year old kid is atrocious.

Not what I'd call a tough footballer but have never seen him squib it the way big bad Jacky Darling has repeatedly and he'd prob weigh 30 kegs more.

Secondly, I did say he gets around the ground more than Darling. But Watts is hardly a power forward taking contested marks either.

After watching last night Darling is a bigger squib then Watts has ever been.

And please don't start on last years Grand Finak when he completely and absolutely shat himself. In fact the skid marks were still on his shorts round 1 last year.

Unfortunately Darlings been ultra consistent. Doesnt have shocking games. Rarely boots 5/6. Always just kicks his 2 goals. Chases. Plays a link up role and sacrifices a lot of his game to allow space for Kennedy to kick 6 and have an open 50. So people wont remember him for these breakout 6-7 goal games somr key forwards have. Becausr it isnt his role

It's because he looks bloody brilliant at times and we all believe in him that we judge him so harshly. The footy world just want him to reach his undeniable potential. Only a young lad but just wish he wouldn't **** up in the big games. That goes for west coast as a hole though. Played the best footy out of anyone arguably the last 3 weeks of the season. Then they go and dish up that crap in crunch time.

So have any of you that are roasting Darling played a game of AFL? 90 kilo men are running at break neck speed, and you are expected to constantly put yourself through mental and physical exhaustion. I don't particularly like Jack Darling but he has kicked 40 odd goals and had a pretty good year. As far as courage (mentally and physically) he's achieved more than most on here. Give the guy a f##king break.

Completely agree. His best season was his debut season and hasn't don't anything of note since. A good average player.
