:DGet him ASAP Pick 12!!!!!!! :thumbsu:

Height: 191cm
Weight: 87kg

Kevin Sheehan says: Jack is an athletic tall forward who attacks the ball with ferocity :D:thumbsu:and is strong overhead:thumbsu::thumbsu:. He provides excellent defensive pressure in the forward 50. He was named in the under-18 All-Australian team in 2009 and again provided an excellent marking target up forward for Western Australia in 2010.

I think he would be a perfect fit in our forward line!! And would take alot of pressure of J Watts!!

Thoughts??

Thoughts???? This is a no brainer. If he's available, we must pick him up. I still have a funny feeling West Coast will nab him early in the draft. He's a potential gun of the competition. Has all the attributes to be a very very good footballer. We'd be crazy to pass him up at #12. I could see him, Watts and Jurrah being an amazing forwardline in a few years time! Last piece of the puzzle - Jack Darling....

Wanna Watts Darling
Petterd Green Jurrah

Would be my structure, not that it matters too mutch. I do think that Sylvia should spend most of his time in the middle with only brief stints forward.

EDIT: Hmmm, I'd also be giving Tapscott every opportunity to nail down Wanna's position next year, which I guess would see Wonna coming off the bench...

If we draft him we should be getting him into the side earlier than we did with Watts! Bigger body and he's not doing Year 12.

If Caddy doesnt slip, then I think Darling is the go.

Massive unit in the Tapscott mould, cant get enough of them.

Could play forward or as a midfielder.

Did you miss the Geel V Coll prelim. You can add bulk to speedy players but its near on impossible to speed players up. A team full of solid units isn't necessarily a great thing.

It is when your forward line has none of them in it, except a resting ruck man.

I'm really keen on Darling. There are some knockers out there who doubt his ability for further development and queries about his mindset, attitude, but I'm very happy for us to take him.

Darling obviously has a long way to go to fill these boots but I see alot of similar attributes to Pavlich. Good long accurate kick, strong hands and I also like the fact that he has a strong defensive side to his game.

If he is available, its seems to be a no brainer. We need another KPF and need to pull the trigger this year rather than draft another midfielder.

Yep, like i said, I feel he's too tempting for the Eagles to pass him up. I think if he slips past West Coast in the draft, we are a good chance to nab him though. Tough decision for West Coast - Gaff or Darling. Either way, they will be on a winner. Gaff is less of a risk IMO... Her's hoping Darling slips through...

Funny though, I'd like Gaff so much more than Darling.

Yeah, i think if the Dees had the #4 pick, we would pick Gaff as well. Seems to be a sure thing in regards to being a very good footy player. Darling is more of a risk, but could be anything.

I've still got hopes that we will pick up Darling, but West Coast seem to be our main stumbling block. And I'm not surprised. So do we still look at a KPF with our #12 pick? I still think we need to take a punt on one of the KPP with our early pick. I must admit, I've had my blinkers on with regards to Darling. I've seen a bit of Lynch and Cook, but neither imprerss me a hell of a lot. A lot of upside to both i guess, but i just liked how Darling could have slotted in nearly from Round 1 as a player in our best 22....

I wouldn't be surprised if GC take him at 9, 10 or 11... maybe even earlier.

If he makes it to us I'd be very happy

Yeah, the more i think about it, the less likely i feel Darling will slip to 12. GC need forwards, and he fits the mould. Would be very surprised to see him slip to 12. Will be very interesting to see which way the dees go. Do we take a punt on a tall, or do we go another mid. Only a couple of weeks now to find out...

I really think our middle is good at the moment (meaning we have a good range) and we can get Viney's son next year (i think) so he would add to the mid field then, so it will allow us to go tall this year.
