He's 23, in his 3rd season on the list and had two VFL seasons behind him before he joined us so what you see now is what we're highly likely get long term from him. Especially when you consider that he isn't adding anything to his game from one season to the next.

I can understand why some have concerns in regards to him because with everyone up and about we only really have room for one of he and Brown and some are still leaning towards Brown. It's not that harsh really.
Taking into account the last two games only, who should be playing in his place?
Did a pretty good job last year and in my opinion because of our depleted or under performing mids, not dropping back to help, the pressure on our backline is enormous, so yes, a bit harsh.

Love Frosty but its heart in mouth stuff. Gibson at the Hawks can't kick either and he goes O.K. Ried back there will add a bit of polish.

Gibson is a very good kick

You clearly haven't read my posts because I think he should be in the team with Reid. I just think the club will go with Brown once Reid is fit.

From there it isn't harsh and I couldn't care less even if it was because harsh gets results (look at how Adelaide are performing for Walsh).

Not sure how anyone can say Frost had been better than Brown. Brown hasn't lost a direct match up all year, Frost clearly lost this one.

Also you conveniently left out to suit your argument that Frost can't handle monster key forwards.

There arent really that many monster key forwards in the game, Frost still obviously young doesnt quite have the frame yet for the few monster opponents that exist. I'd select Frost over Brown on current form (small sample set, just two games) against the best forwards in the game who generally are athletic rather than man mountains.

Mus admit, only read this page but, still don't believe that Brown has done any better and depending on the player they are up against, when Reid comes back would prefer Frost. But hey, just my opinion and not a selector.

I have no idea what that is supposed to mean Mike. But the point stands. Brown despite all his experience has been comprehensively beaten plenty of times by top quality forwards. Frost is clearly better at taking them on & the coaching staff agree. How many other backmen with less than 30 games of experience have had to take on the likes of Buddy, Nick Reiwoldt, Jack Reiwoldt, Hawkins, Tippett & Walker

LOL, Frost was horrible on Hawkins, he's has never played on Tippett, Nick Reiwold still comprehensively beat Frost, he played on an out of form Buddy when he had no help and again Frost has been beaten by Walker twice.

Who has kicked a bag on Frosty?

Tom Hawkins, Jarryd Roughead twice, Nick Reiwoldt, Jonathan Freeman, Josh Kennedy to name a few.

Are you saying that if you were asked if you would take conceding 2 goals on Walker before the weekends game you wouldn't have taken it? Bollocks.

You make it sound like Frost was the reason he only kicked two goals, when in fact it was because of Taylor Walker missing shots.

But lets be honest Frost is going to get the toughest job pretty much every week.

Lets wait till they actually play some game together before making assumptions...

Did you just pull them names from the footy record? From past experiences of debating with you Mike or reading your debates with other posters I have never heard you concede you may have judged someone harshly or been wrong. Where is the data?

He needs to be the most glove-like there is, as there has not been a player to ever play VFL/AFL (1897 onwards) with worse ball handling and disposal skills than he.
Ha, ha, such a big statement to make, are you sure you want to stick by it?
As much as I love him and he has proved many wrong - Rhyce Shaw?
Then there were, Craig Starceivch, James Manson, O'Bree, Kinnear, David Cloke, these are just at the top of my head and only at Collingwood.

He fumbles once the ball hits the ground and I cant believe the amount of times he has dropped simple chest marks already this year. Also leaves me scratching my head whenever he takes off up the field, leaves his man and still fails to make a contest. His stupidity drives me crazy.

He'll be gone when Reids fit, that's a certainty. Brown is better than him by a long way.

I'd prefer Frost over Brown tbh. Brown seems to have a low football IQ and is physically slow.
Frost is more athletic and has youth on his side, which to me edges Brown out.

Frost is okay but Brown and Frost are NOT going to take us to the top 4.

Frost plays a vital position and even though he isn't bad we simply need someone better if we want to improve to a premiership contender.

There are some wildly divergent views emerging on this Board about Frosty.

He was the only Pies player to feature in every game last year.

He restricted an inform Walker on Sat night to 2 goals, after Tex went on a rampage last week. IIRC Frosty did the same thing to Buddy in Round 2 last year.

He is athletic, has a mean punch on him, but fumbles under pressure and is not a good kick. I get the sense his instructions might be simple: stay with your man and punch the bloody ball whenever it comes in.

Has he improved on last year, or is it more of the same? Is that enough?

I think because he is a Bad Kick and we have a Team of Bad Kicks so just makes it worse.

I think he is our Best KPD at the Moment in my View

He "kept" Taylor Walker to 2 goals?

Remind me how many behinds Walker kicked? Also remind me how many Tex gave off? Frost got owned. Hard. He's too slow, too dumb and is terrible with ball in possession. The sooner Reid gets back the better.

Well better get Moore in ASAP

Frosty is a good role player and it will be a while before we can replace him. Brown's best footy is probably already behind him and Reid is an enigmatic injury waiting to happen. We got Frosty for a rookie pick and he's holding up an end. We need to develop the guys around him to be able to a) defend, and b) hit a target by foot with regularity.

Scharenberg and Maynard making the grade will be important, Williams and Langdon should cement their places. Seedsman can remain as an attacking half-back once Scharenberg moves into our Rolls Royce midfield of Pendles/Adams/De Goey/Freeman/Scharenberg.

The fact that it was Frost and not Brown who went to Tex suggests that the coaches see him as our number 1 defensive KPD. When Reid is back, it's Brown whose position is in danger.
I think moreso is that they had to have Brown on Jenkins. Frost probably suited Tex more than Brown did.
