Played Sandy 2's this week, not sure how he did though. Don't expect him to play this season, maybe round 1 next year with a solid pre season.

I'd expect him to get a gig in perhaps the last two rounds to give him a taste of the big time.

If Cameron Hunter could get a game at the tail end of a slop season...

From memory got a dodgy free kick for his first possession and then proceeded to kick it into Gary Ablett Jnr. on the mark.

would have to go down as one of the worst players to play for the MFC. I am not sure who from recruiting is taking responsibilty for drafting a guy who once delisted became a jockey.

Had a good game on weekend. Surly going to be picked in the one's. Does anyone think if has has two good games over the next two weeks that he is a chance to play before the end of the season? Would be good to see as he has some pretty big raps:thumbsu:

He was named second best in the 2's. It's not his form stopping him from playing with Sandy seniors or Melbourne, he just needs more match fitness. I wouldn't be suprised to see him in the sandy 1's this week and possibly see him for melbourne in round 21 or 22.

we are keeping him in cotton wool at the moment.. due to his poor run with injuries... from memory i think he had lower back problems and i also heard shin splints...
i say dont expect to see him until next year.. and rightly so...

Grimey primed for a huge 2009!!!!!!!

Is a real chance to step up to the Seniors this week!

Bump....

Well we all know he made his debut round 22 last yr and missed the start of the season to injury.

Is it just me or does it feel like this kid has played 80 games already, its hard to believe he has only played 6 games, the ball is safe in his hands make good decisions when he has it. Of all the kids who have debut for us over the last 4 years Jack Grimes has made the most impact so early and so consistently.

Avg 20 touches a game this with 8 marks, he also plays well one on one his first objective stop your opponent then get the footy.

Surely he can't be to far off getting the nod for a Rising Star nomination. I was going to back him for it prior to his back injury just before the season kicked off.

Raise that up to 150 games - he looks all the part in the team. However that alone will make him not the media darling.

From a non Melbourne supporter, Jack Grimes is a gem. Brought up as a Melbourne supporter and now playing for his beloved demons, dream come true for him. This guy is going to be a gun for you guys, in recent weeks he has shown why. Good luck Jack!
