Seems to be flying very much under the radar ATM, with virtually no Blues fans having him their best 22 for Rnd 1. I was surprised he got so little game time against Freo in SA

He has looked comfortable at senior level ever since his debut, and seems very consistent for a young player.

His footskills have been impressive as has his concentration, endurance, intensity and footy nous. He has played the run with role successfully whilst still managing to find plenty of the ball.

Are we underestimating the value that Ratts may see in him and his value to the team ?

Ratts didn't think so today, when he spoke about him at the Family Day

From what i've seen of him he seems to be a descent young player and is deserving of a game.
Could play as a tagger this year.
Main problem for him is that there aren't many free spots for him in the middle which is his best spot.

He and Bannister will be competing for a tagging role one feels. We need a consistent tagger in the team.

Two different styles of tagger. Bannister tends to get the role on some of the opposition's taller players eg Chad Cornes, Brad Johnson, whereas Jackson tends to get the job on midfield/running players. Jackson will probably play more games than Bannister though, because I can see Bannister getting called up on a 'horses for courses' basis, while Jackson will have a run with role most weeks.

Jacko will be in the same grade as Murphy and Gibbs. Mark my words.

When we win number 17, he will play a big part in it.

he'll be a fringe player this year, he'll be relying on injuries i suspect.

A good player is Jacko and certainly worth persevering with, but others ahead of him at this stage.

Spot on, I see Jacko and Joey competing for the run-with opposition midfielder role this year.....suspect Jacko would get first crack and I'd have him in my starting 22.

Massive call Tom. He's been impressive, but to compare him to Murphy and Gibbs may just be a little far-fetched.

Care to elaborate on your comments?

Spot on mate!!
if jacko plays the amount of games and time as gibbs he has a better year its as simply as that. The only thing holding him back atm is that he was a rookie.Imagine if he goes second round he would be in our top 15 picked each week. The other thing is that pagan didnt like him. So if he plays 22 this year he will be up there in our top 15 for sure.

From the limited times I have seen him play, he has been outstanding.

Composed under pressure, great skills, and a good build. In the next couple of years he will be the perfect age and will really be a player to watch.

@BlueWorld - Not saying it'll be just him carrying us. We will also have a couple of other handy blokes in the team. Judd, Murphy, Walker, Gibbs and Fev come to mind ;).
