I'd agree he's worth a bit more than that but it's a question of whether he costs more than that, if that makes sense?

What I mean is if Hopper wants to come to Geelong (which the rumours are strong that he does) and all we have to work with is the Blues 2nd rounder then there's a good chance it gets done for that. Hopper is a talent but his heart condition brings risks with it.

Who knows what will actually transpire. Geelong (and GWS for that matter) are pretty good at getting trades done and I'm sure, if he wants to come to Geelong, that we'll find a way.

I have to disagree re Hopper, this kid will be a star, far better than Steele etc. it's not like he's able to run through the guts exclusively. If you put him into another side where he gets good midfield minutes he'd develop much faster and reach his potential which is elite.

St kilda got steele for a 2nd rounder 2 years in when he was OOC its not unreasonable to think geelong would get it done for similar (we will have an earlier second rounder than what st kilda offered).

If he nominates geelong it will get done for something in the 15-25 range or equivalent.

If a player nominates a club and that club doesn't offer a good enough deal, the player can easily end up at another club. It's how Mitch Clark ended up at Melbourne after he nominated Freo, and Freo offered pick 16 and Brisbane said no.

If Geelong offer pick 22 for Hopper and refuse to budge, Geelong will not get Hopper.

Every one of our players has credible sources saying the are off to the Blues supposedly. Lol.

The people who ive spoken to say he is pretty much gone and its to the Cats.

Thats not to say the Cats can offer us scraps and still get the deal done.

At this point, the only person who knows is Jacob himself, maybe his manager. Hell, maybe he doesn't even know yet. So much can change right up until a deal is done. He will be and deserves to be in demand, that's for sure.
