Hi guys (and Walkers girlfriend) Have seen plenty of Young at Uni Blues in 05. Realise it is only AMMOS, but he is a gun. Finds the ball and uses it perfectly. Didn't see him last year as i don't follow Preston. Not everyone is a star at 16. RY is a bit of a late bloomer. As someone earlier said, your club has watched him closely at Preston all year. They wouldn't waste a pick on someone who they thought had no talent. This guy has bucketloads. I would expect him to be a senoir 100 game player at Carlton. I like him!

Interesting. Hughes seems to rate him highly, and he has been a pretty brilliant recruiter for us in recent years. Think the mature aged rookie concept is a good one.

Glad to see Jacobs come to Carlton, saw a bit of him play at the Eagles this year and he certainly has the goods. Was understudy to probably the best tap ruckman in the SANFL for most of the year until the finals when they decided to go with another experienced ruckman and thus Jacobs got sent back to the Ressies. Definetly a project player, dont expect to see him on the senior list for a couple of years.

Another Eagles player I would have liked to have seen come to us is Zac Hier, 18 yo 190cm defended who made his debut 2 games out from the finals at full-back, destoyed every full forward he played on on his way to a premiership. Not tall enough or stong enough to hold down a key position at AFL level but good skills, quick, A Nathan Basset type player.
