If anything happens to Mitch he's got a 'pretty good chance' of being our leading goalkicker, let alone making our 22.'Pretty good chance'? He's pretty much at the top of the depth chart for his position lol.

Hopefully the club choose to put him on our list before the 14th of Dec.
It will do his confidence a world of good over the festive break.
Depends how good your voice isWhen is the cut off for singing someone?
And possibly pick up in MSD.By not locking him in now, we can continue to run all 4 train ons, maybe convince the two who miss out to play for the Magpies

Interesting, do the SSP’S get paid? They can let him know that's what they are going to do, but if we sign him, then we have to drop off one of the train-ons because clubs can only have 2 train ons per vacant spot.
We're better off keeping all three competing against each other and then convincing the two that miss out to stay with us via the Magpies with a promise to consider in the 2026 MSD.
Yeah they doInteresting, do the SSP’S get paid?
What’s stopping another club from cutting our lunch over the break?
How much of that will be spent on UberEats?Yeah they do
$1400 a week from memory
After tax and rent not muchHow much of that will be spent on UberEats?![]()
Nothing. Melbourne SSP'ed Jack Henderson last year while he was training with West Coast. What’s stopping another club from cutting our lunch over the break?
I reckon part of the reason for bringing in Watkins and Wehr, and for developing Moraes, is that Carr has identified the need for more elite long-distance runners, especially after losing Amon.As a junior he played a bit like Dempsey in that wingman who pushed hard forward and kicked goals role. I wonder if that’s how Carr will look to deploy him? Beats Wines/Drew/Mead rotating on one wing.
A perhaps forgotten man, Mackinlay, can actually go very fast!I reckon part of the reason for bringing in Watkins and Wehr, and for developing Moraes, is that Carr has identified the need for more elite long-distance runners, especially after losing Amon.
With a young list, some of the “bomb it on Charlie’s head” tactics and forward presses were probably just a way to hide the fact we can’t run out a full game yet.
Endurance improves with age, so players like Burgoyne, Jones, JHF, and maybe Sinn should keep getting better each year.
Being able to run harder and longer means getting to more contests and creating more space, which is key for transition footy.
If you could see other clubs’ running numbers, I reckon ours would look pretty modest in comparison.
I’m not sure how Stephenson would go on the wing, but having faster players with better kicking and endurance—rather than slower ones like Drew, Wines, and Boak—would make a huge difference to a more modern game plan.

This is like pinning your reputation on Black Caviar winning.
Its $1.01 to happen
"As you heard here first"
Yeah the wings and half forward. In Hinkley's gameplan, the wing was where players went to die. All defensive running, and used as decoys rather than an attacking part of the ball movement. No coincidence that some of the most talented players to leave during Hinkley's reign were wingmen. Assuming this might change under Josh' gameplan....
