Rape is a very rare thing in Victorian jails as it is frowned on by other crims. A sourer is a sourer in any language, and the perpetartor will find himself in the boneyard very quick smart. Most of the sex that happens in jail is consensual. There are exceptions of course, as the quality of crim has diminished over the years due to the drug epedemics in the jails. As long as someone is kicking over the "Bupe" there will always be crims willing to turn a blind eye to get their fix. There is NO code in Victoria jails anymore.

There are many reasons why men and women, and animals for that matter, commit rape. To restrict the motive to power is to misunderstand situations as they arise. The 'power' thing is a plot devised by feminists to support their view of the way men treat them generally, almost as a matter of course. Rapes may contain an element of this, but a spoonful of warm liquid, and the pleasant sensations caused by its emission should not be discounted. Other issues could also include opportunity, the state of sobriety of both parties and, (this one is rarely mentioned) the physical attractiveness of the victim. Lack of self-control must also surely play a part. I have no idea of how any of this works in animals other than humans.

Anyway there are a lot of good documentaries on prison life that focus on rape, although nearly all of them are from the US with a few really good ones from Russia. Not many from Australia.

I don't know what your point is but I'm sure there's a study somewhere that shows the majority of prison rapists aren't homosexual if they came in straight
