i can't be the only one opening this thread every day feeling uneasy.

just seems like something bad is going to happen :(:(

maybe thats just because we are saints fans and we know no other way

Maybe maybe not. Listening to all the other players at Essendon, even those not caught up in it, it has been a highly stressful time for all concerned.
That will be a big contributor to exacerbating negative behaviour- no question. And it is fair enough that it plays into his legal argument.
The ultimate responsibility lies with the player though - there's no getting away from that.

Its fantastic he sues the injectors not only for the loss of this years contract but also the difference between his original contract and the post snapchat contract plus maybe emotional damages that should make him a happy boy and even further screw the injectors.
Hope the footy show corrects themselves on the Carlisle is going to sue the Saints crap.
Also they lied to Carlisle about what they gave him and put his career and health at risk and opened him up to ridicule, harassment and character assissination.
Then continued to lie to him for 2 years while not being able to tell him what he was injected with that can be a lot of stress that might present in the form of public outbursts like saying the club is f'd or substance abuse.
If Heppell is unhappy with the club we could help him find another home:D

Yep every time I see carlisles thread bumped back up I have a flush of anxiety rush over me when I open it up.

This is going to get nasty.
You know Essendon will pull out all the stops to uncover any illicit drug habits before the snapchat, if Jake has any, which lets be real is very likely.

won't matter unless it was before they started injecting him with performance enhancing drugs and even then it may not play well and just look petty but would not be surprised if some of his injector "friends" have some other embarrassing videos that may see the light of day

Yep. Would require someone making a statement and giving evidence against him.
Could happen given the propensity of his scumbag mates to try to make a dollar off him.

I'd consider that most of the stress involved is due to the long drawn out legal challenges, and I guess most of them were caused by EFC, but maybe someone can go James Hird for his contribution of drawing the whole thing out.

"....Other player managers have threatened to walk their players out of Essendon whether contracted or not...."

Welcome Heppell and/or Hurley :)

Its all coming out now. The depression and anxiety of Hal Hunter, the anxiety forcing our Jakey boy onto drugs where he was obviously an Angel before the drug cheating by Essendon o_O

Essendon treat their players appallingly and cause them to get on to illicit drugs, its obvious. ;)

We can joke all we want (and I have) but some of these Essendon players have had their lives ruined by that club. Paddy Ryder genuinely worried about his child's health, mental health issues, stress. I heard today that Four Corners tonight is a genuinely sad thing, a kid who still doesn't know what was injected into his body and whether he'll pay for it in his future.
In saying that Essendon and Hird's stuff up may just help us in building the best backline in the league from 2017....

This is true, but you'd assume if he's going down this path he's confident the club doesn't have anything they can use against him.

What is interesting is whether a prior illicit drugs strike could come out through evidence or subpoena, as the first strike is supposed to be confidential and not disclosed to anyone other than the club doctor. Not suggesting Carlisle has a prior strike.

Basically all Guinea Pigs do is eat and shit.
Essendon treated their players like Guinea Pigs. So its only Karma that the club is up to its neck in shit.
Hope half the players walk out on them.

It's shit that the players have paid for their part in this and are doing their time like men. Hird and co have smeared shit all over the competition and have walked away with no real penalty. The club tried to sue this guy for taking a legal path to find out what they did to him. They have cherry picked what they want him to see and used him to scare anyone else off. The people running that club should have been life banned and humiliated for having the major contribution to the whole ordeal. Hird has been slapped on the wrist with a free holiday year and could walk back in to coaching tomorrow. People at that club ran this drug policy and have faced no charges.

Nice to see the journos playing catch up, it's OK, you can reference my handle for digging up 4 year old comments and info in regards to how this shit would go down to the letter, you don't have to hide your inept ability to read the situation and be sucked in by the business you chiefly report on. You can even take the credit, all of it, whilst I just sit back and laugh.

Some? All 34 would be in the same boat, it's up to how the individual reacts to this that determines how great the "threat" is to their persona and those around them.

McVeigh would have little for instance given how he reacted and has reacted to this, yes he'd be concerned but he'd back in the medical department that they pushed boundaries and there'll be no lasting effects / what happens happens / etc. Then you'll have people like Paddy and Hal Hunter who genuinely believes / believed that they were betrayed, and god knows what the outcomes may be.

I feel sorry for Spike because if he truly believes in his stance and is wrong, then he'd be the most lied to, the most betrayed, the loyal dog who ends up being shot by the owner and then eaten out of nothing but malice, and I feel sorry for the Paddy types because you do want to trust the club, and the people there to the best for you, and your mates there to back you up and otherwise ensure that, as mates and as a team you are strong and uniform, and such a betrayal cuts deep and opens up way too many fears that could then be realised over the course of a lifetime.

It's why, I have always said, the outcome should have been telling Essendon to #$%@ off and stripping the license. This isn't a money thing like Carlton was that could be easily fixed and people can move on from, this is the very fabric of the game itself as it directly impacts the players who play this game and how can you then trust that the HGH rumours or other rumous regarding possible PED use or other enhancers were false over the years and just rumours, with no basis in fact at all?

When we were not the only sport in this country affected by such use and such rumours?

Seriously though if Heppell wants a change we don't have a captain after Armo as Steven doesn't want the job and one why not to get screwed in trading with the Injectors would be to take 3 of their players in one go.

i think for anyone who wants an insight into those banned players psyche really should listen to Timid when he talks about it. There is alot of pain, sorrow and frustration and he really does try to place peacemaker between club and players/fans etc

also we wont be the only club who might potentially benefit from this disaster Dyson is apparently very unhappy aswell at the moment. Some are even saying the bombers might be on life support in the coming years - if you choose to believe the whispers

I'm hoping those whispers become cheers.

Still believe only one or two players will want to leave Essendon. Obviously no player has been through what Essendon players have previously but I still think most players are loyal to their club usually no matter what. It will be an interesting time that's for sure.
