The Florida State Athletic Commission sanctioned the fight. Is this just a simple case of the state of Florida understanding what they stood to gain economically from sanctioning this event? Unfortunately, money talks and that means a situation like this is always going to be possible because each party involved stood to gain significantly from green lighting it.
