DFA is what 66k aka base salary. stringer would be on what 600k? i was just ball parking but the respect now needs to be shown to members. he will get paid next year by us and he deserves it.

Brown is older than Stringer. And Membery is one month younger than Jake.

I would 100% take stringer but in 2016 there was little between them. It's not a horrible comparison. Membery has kicked 40 from 15 games.

I don't agree with the decision, I'd rather he just not play at all than play VFL, but it's not the worst thing in the world.

My number one pet peeve in coaches is ones that play players no matter what their form is purely based on reputation. I don't even go for Geelong and watching Blicavs and Motlop play like crap for half the season and not even look like getting dropped did my head in. Atleast Bev has shown that he's got the balls to drop a gun. Did it with Macrae and Crameri last year, now Jake.

good call by bev, sends the right message on laziness because he has all the talent in the world and he's wasting it. yes he's more talented than members but his output has been if anything below that IMO this year.

age proberbly isn't that important its most likely years in the system so you can do extra pre seasons and build your bodies up

Not the worst thing at all.......Probably just the opposite.
Admire the fact The Dogs back themselves to make the hard calls and who knows....maybe Stringer had a say in it.

He'll be back for when it matters in 2 weeks time.

I love the decision. Has been appalling and he's the type of person who needs a kick up the arse.

He ignited in 2014 after being dropped. I'm tipping he does so again and we need him firing in the finals to do anything.

If anybody else had played like Jake in our squad over the past 4 weeks then they too would have been dropped.

Needs to get to the front far more often and not chase easy ball. Hopefully this is a strong reminder too him.

I wish we just gave him 3 weeks off to get his body right. Clearly can't use his right arm/shoulder, not lifting it above his head in marking attempts and only fends off with his left arm lately, instead of his preferred right.

People can say he's not 100% mentally and they might be right, but he was AA last year and he didn't appear to have an attitude issue then.

Good on the Dogs. Awesome talent but he's been putting in three quarters of poor effort and one good quarter for a few games now. Mercurial is fine but effort needs to be consistent.
