A mate told me he was out for a month with a PCL, although can't find anything confirming this. Anyone else heard this? Say it ain't so otherwise I won't be able to sleep tonight (on my lifesize Beamer Moloney pillow).
 
News about this would've appeared quicker on here than the news about Grimes and would've surely come out with the official information that the club released about Grimes, Spencer and Fitzpatrick. No offence, but i think your mate is talking shit.

Indeed seeing as spencer and fitzy are injured also.

would leave us with Martin, Gawn and Campbell.

I very much doubt this though. Club has only just put out an injury update from the weekend.

There's nothing I hope for more than for this to be "talking shit". Our reliance on him is a real concern though, where's Robbie Campbell at?
 
Unfortunately I think it might be true. In the last quarter he clashed knees with the opposition ruckman at a centre bounce and it definitely hurt him. It was the type of incident that made them bring in the circle rule for ruckmen in the first place. The Russian is at a big risk of hurting himself this way too because he is just a battering ram in the ruck, he really doesn't do it on leap, he just smashes his way in to protect the space where the ball is dropping.

God I hope it isn't true though. Who the hell is going to ruck for us if he's out? Dunn has got no idea in the ruck, which is fair enough given it is not his spot, SME has been very inconsistent, and the young guys are just getting established in the reserves...

If it's true then this sinks our battleship.
 
Was gonna make a thread on the prospect of Jmar going down. Would leave us with SME and Gawn to ruck.

Hope this isn't true :(

I think it's rubbish. He looked fine in the post game song and wandering the boundary after the game.
 
Bloody great time for it to happen if true. Two games at Etihad, and then the top 3 in 3 weeks.

Quite likely, although our midfield fell to pieces often in the 90s whenever Viney wasn't playing.

I didn't see the incident you are speaking of but I did however notice that he didn't spend a lot of time rucking in the last quarter. I was a little worried at the time that he may have done something to hurt himself.

However, if it is true it is a bit weird that it hasn't come out from the club yet.

Do you not think that this is more likely to have been because he rucked almost the whole game & we were 10 goals up already? Seems to me like the perfect time to give the guy a rest

We can right off the next month then! No Grimes, No Trengove and now no ruckman! Martin is now officially our number 1 ruckman! Laughable! Throw in the crazy decision to suspend Trengove, the knee to Spencer and the season ending injury to Grimes, and the last 24 hours have been horrible for the club! Really deflated now and not looking forward to the next month ahead. All winnable games have now become nearly impossible.

Is Gawn a chance to get a game????
 
I don't trust Sheahan, going to wait on a official release from the demons website. Hopefully nothing is wrong.
