There were rumors we tried to do that ages ago,but the AFL blocked it.Funnily enough Matty Stokes ex Geelong had a refreshing outlook on these situations.
Not every player is suited to an AFL environment - Tom Boyd was cited.
I think the AFL should have the ability to deregister him and stop payments. And before another club can recruit him there need to be a series of checks. Its a privilege to play Aussie Rules.
Are there examples in other sports in the USA where something similar in terms of behaviour has occured?
Makes sense when you read Bevo's latest comments about it being in the AFL's hands.
