Today all but confirmed he won't be on the list next year. Some bad mistakes and just doesn't have much sense of where the good spots to direct the ball are.

Hawksley also won plenty of the ball
Hawksley and Lisle rubbed salt into the NT wounds when they kicked truly for the Lions.
By all accounts a sensational game from Hawksley in the Reserve Premiership side. Interesting to see where he was being played. On or forward of the wing is the place to play Hawksley.
Definitely worth keeping on our list and if we are foolish enugh to delist him, a great pick up for another club.
Sensational is definitely exaggerating things but he was good.
"I tend more to the Luthor school of thought, as expressed on the game thread, on this one:
"Hawkesly....I'm a bit biased but I thought he looked in terrific nick playing as he was (I think) forward of the center for most of the game. Looked creative. Thought he was second best only to Beams. Awewsome hanger in the last"

A bit different from "all accounts" though (he also wasn't mentioned in the bests on the NEAFL site)
His hanger was awesome though.

I'm sure Mr. 3KZ will be just as devastated as the Hawk himself.
I too rated Hawksley more than what the match committee did, however I am not surprised by the club's decision. Unlikely that either West Coast or Freo would come knocking, but considering he is from down Mandurah way, I am sure Peel will be doing everything in its power to entice him back, provided another AFL club does not throw him a lifeline.
Hawksley was really unlucky to be delisted, but at the end of the day he may well be better off. I would be surprised if another AFL club doesn't pick him up. Rest assured Dylan12, I am not devestated, because it had been clear to me for a while now that Voss and the match committee didn't see some of the qualities that I had felt James possessed.
I will follow Hawksley's career with interest from here on in and if he is picked up by another club, I look forward to him vindicating the faith I and others have expressed in him.

Does not have to do either of your scenarios. He can just be signed on to St Kilda’s list as a free agent.I saw on the drafts and trades board linking your man with the Saints who someone is claiming are apparently interested.
Considering he has now been delisted and unable to be traded, we can watch with interest to see if Hawk either gets drafted in the ND or gets an invite to do a pre-season down at Seaford and picked up in the PSD or rookied.
Correct me if I am wrong, but was there not a rumour doing the rounds either last year of the year before that the Saints were interested in Sam Sheldon at the time?

I feel sure he will be on an AFL senior list next year.
I think St.Kilda would be a good fit for Hawksley. I think he would be a great pick up for a team with a strong list who wants to top up with a young player with some experience and plenty of upside.Could Goddard's departure from Seaford translate into the Hawk becoming a Saint 3KZ? Whilst certainly not in the same class as Goddard, Hawk certainly can play a variety of position's similar to Goddard.
PEEL has secured the services of former Brisbane Lions midfielder James Hawksley for the next two seasons.
The West Australian is set to add grunt to Peel's on-ball division as the side looks to improve on its ninth-place finish last season.
Thunder chief executive Russ Clark said Hawksley would bring "wonderful foot skills and a great understanding of the game" to the club next year.
Peel Thunder have recruited very well indeed.
