Suspected broken tibia and fibia -- Michael Barlow's injury. :(

Sorry to see it happen, especially after the week you've just had.

Best of luck Strauss and the MFC. Hope things aren't as bad as they suspect and your club turns around soon.

Great effort by Jack Watts today.

bloody unlucky, he was just starting to put together a few games, and really badly threw out our structure with bate as sub( that made me so angry seeing him with the vest)

that now means 2 of our high our picks from the 09(?) draft have broken there legs

Should take time to nurse him back to health. Really could be anything as a player.

Weird injury, very weird. Just jumped up and landed. How you can snap 2 bones in your leg like that is anyone's guess. Sickening to watch.

very similar to the great g.lyons break, it was such a random injury really took all the momentum out of our game

Really disappointing for the kid.

He was starting to play some pretty good footy, I reckon he'll be back. :thumbsu:

Really feel for him. Hopefully he can come good in time and no doubt he'll be on the phone to Barlow at some stage for his advice/encouragement.

Jeez that was terrible. As has been said, he was starting to cement a spot in the back line. Was a terrible break... I just hope it's not the effective end of his career - I worry that he may never get over it fully a la Nathan Brown.

Good luck Straussy.

Bad luck to the guy. Looks worse than Barlows because of the angle of impact, but who knows, could be a lot better too. I hope so for his sake.

Best wishes on his recovery and condolences to the family and fans - it really does suck to lose a player to such a bad and long term injury.

Sickening injury, but again a footballer shames the entire soccer community with his stoic courage enduring an injury. Not a tear or grimace, there is toughness there Dees.

Reminded me alot of Jason Snell's ankle fracture v you guys back in 2001.

Jump, land, get multiple leg fractures.

Best of luck to the lad on his comeback, hate seeing an injury like that, especially to a young guy.

Like I said in the Main board I reckon he has either Broke it in the past or just before the incident or at least cracked it or he has brittle bones ( which would be very un usual for such a long bloke)

Anyway I hope he recovers well at least he has youth on his side.

I'll second this SS. The only positive for Strauss is that he has shown more than enough to suggest he has a future with the club and his career won't be in jeopardy.

Loved the backline players who made the effort to see him as he went off the ground too. Best of luck to the kid in his recovery.

He even gave the thumbs up to the crowd as he got carted off! :thumbsu:

Best of luck Straussy, stay positive and work hard.

Terrible injury, especially for a young kid.

Is very much a required player for our future.

Channel 10 BTG saying that he is being operated on now. WOW!

It's probably necessary, broken legs can get complicated if left for too long iirc.
