Jamison - Possible A.A so far???

has anyone found any articles on Jamison back in the days during the draft period when he was 18

would like to know why he never was picked up!!

The only mention of him in the media I can recall was Patrick Smith thinking the selection of Jamison was as a clear indicator or tanking.

For starters i never proclaimed him to be the best young player to ever pull on footy boots, so ill pull you up on that.

2nd why the hell should we not pump up the tyres of some of your young players. Jamison has come from a different back ground (off the Rookie list) and is doing a fantastic job thus far this year. We should all be embracing what he is doing so the rest of the competition take note and realise how good of a player he is/ has been this year.

3rd. Explain to me what the main objective a Full back has. Whats his main job????

Answer that, look at the stats that i have provided and then come back to me. He is not as far off as some of you may think. Maybe if we pump his tyres hard enough he will get recognised. Its not as rediculous as it seems.

Ohh and i never said that he should be an A.A, i said that he should be in contention for the job he has done so far...

Easy there tiger...we can joust about semantics if you like, but the suggestion you put forward that Jamieson is in AA form does not ring true for me...and seemingly the majority who have posted on this thread. Im rapt for the guy, and as I said couldn't be happier that we have a solid FB in the making.

I didn't delve too far into your stats becase the first one was incorrect (Richo kicked five in the first round), and I would consider a number of stats when 'rating' a key defender.
I stand by my comment that it is the sort of title/OP I would expect to about a Richmond or Hawthorn player becase they are commonplace.

No dramas...I just disagree with what was put forward.

has been good, but like Thornton, lacks size to take on the big forwards

Matthew Scarlett 192cm 95kg
Darren Glass 192cm 93kg
Ben Rutten 192cm 101kg

Michael Jamison 193cm 87kg

Because he came across in the rookie draft, he has only had one complete AFL standard pre-season, with another 2 or 3 under his belt and the added kilo's that will come with those, he will be right up there with the other 3.

This first I remember reading about Jamo was right after we signed Crosisca on as our defensive coach, he was the senior coach of the North Ballarat side in the VFL where Jamo was FB, and almost as soon as he arrived at Carlton he was urging the recruiters to make save a spot on the rookie list to pick him up in the rookie draft. Of course searching for old articles on CFC website is an exercise in futility (unless you are The General)...

Sure those numbers are recent? He's looking a bit heavier than 87kg ATM.
