i did think at the time he was off as a precaution, as at the start of the 4th 1/4 they mentioned he had been down the rooms, they then showed him on the bench without any ice on either shoulder.

glad to hear. he'll be important this year.

Grabbed it after smothering a ball in the first qtr just near where i was sitting, appeared okay following that though.

Just saw that watching the replay when I got home. Grabbed at the shoulder. It would be devistating news if anything were to come from
it.

He's going to cause me to have a heart attack at some stage during the season, I'm sure of it.

Such an important player for us, really developing into a terrific defender. Shoulders are very weak though - we'll probably have plenty more scares from him this season. And hopefully they are just that and nothing more.

Surely we should have invested in surgery to strengthen the shoulders...

Saw him grab his shoulder after a smother. Have a feeling its going to be a problem for the rest of his career. Really hope not

Jamo's going to be fine. We had the game in the bag. Those are the times you can rest guys like that.

Surprised Robby played as much as he did too to be honest.

He has had surgery, but you can only stabilise the shoulder so much without severely restricting the movement in it.

TBH I missed the "incident" but I'll have a look and see what he does before he has grabbed at it, but all reports suggest he'll be fine.......this time. :thumbsu:

His shoulders are like mine, once they have popped out a couple of times they will continue to do so even with strapping on.

It usually happens when tackling and it pops out and goes straight back in but it takes a couple of minutes before it feels back to normal.

I am 30 and have spent the last 5 years of footy having to strap both shoulders, its not a lot of fun and I am going to pay for it in a few years.

Does anyone know if the surgery Jamo has had is the same as Walkers? I remember reading that walkers surgery would make it almost impossible for the shoulder to dislocate.

He grabbed at it when he was contesting the ball with Riewoldt in the 1st quarter out near the boundary line. Given that he chaired Thornton off, you'd have to think that he was ok.

Didn't any of the d**k heads that work for the herald sun see the interview after the game. Ratten clearly said "he was fine will play next week, no problems"

Jamo is fine!!

"And the Blues have another problem - a shoulder injury to Michael Jamison (193cm) may rule out the defender."

Either speculation??? Or they know something we don't???
Lazy Journalism. Did they not see Jammo chairing Thornton off the ground? Even if it was his other shoulder you just wouldn't bother. He also wouldn't be on the ground playing when we have the game won, but he was.

Shot I took right after it happened. Got up and played fine. Would be surprised if he didn't play next week..
