He should, he's a bloody good and unlucky player. Needs to score a few more runs in FC cricket first.

I dont think he will to be honest because of his age but if he starts hitting consistent runs again i dont see why he shouldnt.

Five things have happened.

Katich took his chance in the West Indies covering for Hayden.

Jaques himself got injured.

Hughes jumped ahead of him in the pecking order.

Shane Watson got fit. We know the Aussie selectors will do anything to keep him in the side. He's also now in a rich vein of form as an opener.

Jaques has not been in anywhere near his previous best form since he has returned from injury.

Slightly off-topic, but interesting to see the talk on Rogers, I was bored recently so I was rereading some of my old cricket magazines that I found and I found an interesting feature written by Rogers on his WA teammates. He certainly seemed he was good mates with all of them and definately wasn't on the outer, maybe that all changed when he wanted to leave WA? I can scan the article if anyone really wants to see it.
