I hope someone has explaned to polec that Melbourne is more expensive to live in than Adelaide.
Not wrong. Its the one area the cupboard is bare.
Whether we load up on picks and go to the draft or also chase a replacement for that spot I am not sure, but i think we should be looking to bring someone in that can play that outside role.
My love for Fantasia is well known. If he gets his body right, he could be elite in that role.

If we can get Lycett, Hall and something decent for Polec, it wouldn’t be ideal, however it wouldn’t be the end of the world.
I don’t want to lose Polec, he is a star and will be a big loss. I think we need to up our offer to be honest. He is actually worth 700k. Or even 600k over 5.

About the only player we have that can hunt the ball, get through traffic and generally use it well.
Ah well, I'm sure the brains trust down at Alberton will recruit another bull so they can all play 50% TOG and all fail more often than not against decent opposition.
We can't afford to let him go. We haven't anyone even close to being able to replace him, without reverting to Amon types.

AJ has pace but poor decision maker and it's unknown if he can crack AFL.
Atley, Garner are not pacey.
Drew doesn't have Polec's pace.
Patmore and Farrell have decent pace but still are a long way off.
We'll miss Polec. It will take us back a peg losing him.

Mitchell was forced out of Sydney by salary cap and was barely in their 22.
Your proposed trade is a horrific rip off.
We paid a first and 2nd for Dixon and Ryder and both had issues that devalued them greatly. Ryder was walking out and gc wanted Dixon gone and he barely played half a season most years.
Weller pick 2 by gcs overpaying , pick 12 for Cameron.
As already said Polec was a pick 5 and if you drafted a pick 5 and he has anywhere near as good as Polec it would be a win.
Norths 1st and 2nd for Polec plus 3rd back is the deal and it's being friendly to north.
If port wanted a very good mid from a team it would cost us 2 picks.
Yep none of them are anywhere near as good as Polec. I think if we miss finals this year we should be rebuilding anyway not replacing Polec with a ready made player. Pick 11 would be great.
