i would love to see us convince jason goodes to enter the rookie draft tall cfb lots of dash good decician making kicking is little suspect over a short distance but he just kicks it long with distance insted i think his commitment is a little suspect which may be why he didn't enter the draft he is still 22 so he is a mature rookie but i can't see why we shouldn't have a punt on him...maybe his brother could help him with his commitment issues

Given that the guy is talking about a 22 year old brother of who no one has ever heard of other than being Adam Goodes brother than I'm guessing he is a dud footballer and we already have enough of them on our list without adding another. If he were going to be any where near as good as his bro he would have played 50 AFL games by now and given he doesn't even play VFL I doubt he is any good at all.
 
Brett Goodes plays with North Ballarat in the VFL, but I've never heard of Jason. I'd suggest Brett is not AFL standard.
 
You don't nominate for the rookie draft only. You have to nominate for the national draft and if you don't get picked up there you are automatically entered into the pre-season and rookie drafts as well.

Ouch. Talk about high standards, I wonder how Brett is feeling about Adam being a Dual Brownlow Medallist and all. And compared to himself...

Probably much the same as Ricky O'Loughlin. :)

Mind you at least he made an AFL list.

But I bet their mums love them equally. :D

First of all, you'd suspect that if he is any good there would've been a bit of chatter like, "Adam Goodes has a grouse brother who has commitment issues, but he is a gun." There has been none of that, so there's every chance he's not good at footy.

Second of all, have you just read the news on that reluctant AFL star Nathan Ablett? He retired at 21.

Thats the point. If Jason does not wantto play AFL football is it worth time and effort (and money) working on someone who would not want to give it their all. Thats not an attack on Jason, if he does not want to play AFL he is doing the right thing by doing something else.

Bretts not a bad VFL player but I agree with scott, Not AFL standard.
