Thought he was ok for us. Tried to turn him into a defender which didn't really work and he kicked on at Port.

I was among many who felt he would never reach his potential until he became the number one forward, and we had Richardson and a youngish Jack Riewoldt.

Fair play to him, was very good at Port and was handy for us in a few games as well. Solid bloke.

This exactly.

Tried turning a natural forward into a defender. The guy could play for sure. Dominated for Coburg at... FULL FORWARD.

Was played out of position and coached incorrectly while at Richmond.

Fantastic mark and a very very good shot at goal.

Schulz or the Power fan?

Reckon he doesn't like me from Bay13 ... oh well

Was harder than a cats head.
Always a big fan.

He was brave to a fault, damn close to always hurting himself, but he carried us (Port) on his shoulders so many times, we'll always love the bloke, he's part of our (Port) history with his name on a locker.

But he doesn't forget his time at the Tigers and he will always have a place in his heart for you blokes ... :thumbsu:

He was in for breakfast the other day at the restaurant that I work at.

He had a cafe latte and had poached eggs (with sides but I can't remember which ones). These are the facts. Read into that whatever you want but I think that means he's coming back to play for the Tigers. Or a country/suburban league.

So the gun forward got the arse but the coach survived ? Hmmmmm

Schulz joins Victorian amateur side for 2017

Former Port Adelaide and Richmond forward Jay Schulz will play suburban football next year after joining St Kevin's Old Boys in the Victorian Amateur Football Association.

Answers that question.

Thanks. I did like seeing that. Didn't mind the Sarge. Understood why he went to Port - Richo took up the entire forward 50 and then some. I was even glad to see him playing better footy for you blokes.
