People were saying Dangerfield will carry us to a flag but this is (and always has been), the one player who completely shifted our trajectory the moment he signed.

When he's running hot, there's not been a better forward in the game since 'primetime' Buddy Franklin.

Geelong's premiership hopes lay squarely at the feet on Jezza for the remainder of the 2025 season.

Not dissing cameron but he did very little in our premiership game while danger was player of the finals and put in one of the best grand final performances ive seen in a decade.

As for this year. The consensus just 3 weeks ago (not that i agreed with it) was that cameron was having a stinker of a season and dangerfield was dominating and going to be the all australian centre half foward.

If he’d played the whole season at FF he would have gotten the ton. Unfortunately he spent a few games on the wing early on in the season when his goal tally was down.

But if he kicks 7+ next week you never know….

Looks like you have 4 games left you will win comfortably. Could easily kick a bag of 10 against either Bombers or Tigers.

That would put him in striking range. Would be amazing to see it done, it's been 17 years.

Mate clear the 50 against us, even with Laverde, Blakiston and whoever the **** else is left standing for us triple teaming him, he'll kick 12.

11 more goals gets him into the top 20 on the all time goalkickers list - N.Riewoldt, H.Vallence, J.Kennedy, P.Hudson and W.Carey will be the players he moves past on the list.

I'd love to see him rip a finals series apart and carry a good - not great - Geelong side to a flag. It's tough as a forward because so much depends on the midfield, but geez his legacy would get an even greater boost.

Man oh man how I wish he had him for the 2016-2020 "almost" era, alongside peak Dangerfield, Hawkins and Selwood.

Dangerfield was the core piece keeping us contending 2016-2021. Cameron is the same since he arrived. Obviously you still need to be incredibly well run otherwise without access to the best draftee talent. But these two players have given us the chance to have a crack, when otherwise we probably would've been out of finals contention a while ago.
