Just saw a snippet of tomorrow night's interview with Jezza.

The hype has started already.

Amusingly, he sounds like a typical teenage stoner...slow, stupidly deep voice, 'I want to play AFL as soon as possible...duh'.

Let the kid play footy for gooness sake. 2 good games don't make a player.

I was a bit worried by it myself

I have convinced myself though that he will be the next Jason Akermanis.

I heard him on KG and Cornsey a while back and he seems to have a fair bit of confidence which can't be back. From the highlights it looked like he could give the footy a fair belt.

I hope we play him this week, he was incredible last week. Im shocked the crows have a good young prospect. That makes it a grand total of 4 in our whole list.

I think he is a very good prospect but I am not in favour of a 19 year old appearing on a tv channel being portrayed as the next great white hope after 2 good SANFL games. Give the kid some time to develop for goodness sake and stop making him out to be a superstar after 2 SANFL games. The media in Adelaide are seriously notorious to youngsters.

He can give the ball a fair belt.

He will most probably get a game against Saints but I would keep hold him back a little bit longer.

I presume they are Reilly, Johncock and Hentschell.

Or maybe the king of talented youngsters, Matthew Smith? :p

You didn't miss much.

They talked about him being the possible future face of the Crows, describing him as young blond and confident

Jezza went on to say that he would like to play AFL ASAP sighting that its probably a young bloke coming out of him but relised he has a lot of learning to do.

He said that being in consideration gives him confidence but he realises that even if he is not playing AFL he has to play well at SANFL to keep his name up there when it comes to AFL selection.

Rehny said a few word about Jezza. He called him a good athlete and that Jezza is still learning the game. His form of late will give match committee something to think about.

I must say I was impressed with the way Jezza handled himself. He said that its been great so far but he still has a plenty of work ahead of him. It sound like he has a mature head on his shoulder.

Well done kid.

Jamal Crawford has got to be the most inconsistent scoreer in the league. If his shots are not falling down he is as useless as **** on the bull.

Jay Williams is no longer on Bulls payroll. They settled on a sum of money so Jay can focus on recovery from that Bike accident and IF he ever plays again Bulls would look at signing him.

TC is of the most overrated youngsters of all time. all hype and no runs on the board.

1. The crows have 4 good prospects, Johncock, Watts (never seen him play, but he must be alrite to go first rd in a draft), Jericho and Reilly.

2. Stiffy, I know we disagree with almost everything but theres no point bringing basketball into a thread not about basketball. You really think you calling Chandler a bust or whatever hurts me?? I just laughed at it.

3. Yes I am a crows supporter, but the teams not good, the clubs not good.. should I praise them for being 0-3, trading draft picks for old men.. losing almost all the trades (ok we wont the mcleod trade 8 years ago)...

NIce to see this thread has moved into territory that I'm more familiar with and can finally use the voluminous knowledge that I've been storing up for years.... :D

Carmelo - good scorer, not much else. He really needs to develop the other aspects of his game. But he will be a superstar in the not-too-distant future.

Lebron - WAAAAAAAAAAAAYYY too much hype. No doubt he is a serious baller and I like the well-rounded nature of his game, but he is not nearly the god people have been hyping him to be. Kobe, KG and T-mac were just as good and even at the height of Lebron's powers he will not be any better than these 3. Having said that, however, those are 3 damn good star players. :)

Pound for pound the best 2 players in the NBA are KG and Kobe, IMHO.... with Tim Duncan coming in a close third.

But playoffs start on Saturday!!!! Can't wait!!!!

This is a great time to be in the U.S. (for anybody thinking of planning a vacation). Intense basketball games every single night of the week... most times two games a night. Bars are packed with people... my personal favorite being - drunk sl*ts. :)

You couldn't seriously keep Jason Kidd out of that company. The best PG by an absolute country mile. There is nothing that bloke can't do. Closest thing ever to Magic Johnson (Although Magic is in a class of his own). Kidd is a freak who gets the best out of his team mates. Just have a loook at what he has done in New Jersey to realise how good a player the bloke is.

Kirk Hinrich my favourite rookie. The kid is a stud.;)

Stiffy,
there is one thing 'ason, can't do is shoot.

Magic Johnson was 6 8' point guard who could play 4 positions, Kidd can't even play SG.
Lamor Odom is possibly the closest Magic clone at present, which is why Reilly coveted him.

Btw there is an argument, and a strong one, that Kidd has done no better in Jersey than he did in Phoenix, but is now in an easy conference. He has not improved his game an awful lot since leaving Dallas, and is shooting close to a career low this season if I recall correctly.

Carmelo - not sure there isn't a bit of stackhouse about him, could be wrong.
Lebron, good lord how many times has anyone seen him play, the guy is amazing. He is certainly better than KG, Kobe, and Tmac at the same age. He can create, step out, drive, defend, board and if necessary run his team. Magic comparisons are also not far off for this lad.

Amare has shown superior numbers at the same stage of his career as KG, though whether he develops a true interior game and a dependable drop step is to be seen.
Tmac only blossomed in Orlando, after 4 years of steady development that Toronto didn't feel warranted a maximum extension.

Ball is a particular passion of mine :D

Yeah Kidds shooting is not great BUT he is by far the best PG in the land.

Correction my friend, Magis could play all 5 positions. Didn't he play Center in a play off series when Kareem Abdul Jabbar missed through injury. This was I might add during his rookie season and he nearly had a triple double. Scored over 40 pts in that game. Magic was an absolute FREAK.

I cannot agree that Kidd din't do wonders for NJ. They were a laughing stock before they got Kidd. After that Marbury-Kidd trade, Kidd turned an ordinary team into a play off team in the very same season. Something that Starsbury couldn't do.

I agree RE Carmelo and James is an absolute freak. What a lot of people forget he is only 19 YO and is producing 20/6/6 in his Rookie season. This kid will be the biggest threat to Jordan for the Greatest of All Time title.

TMac is a stat stuffer in my mind whith no leadership qualities. One of the most talented players in the game but he will never realise it. Not a favourite of mine.

Ball is a passion of mine as well :D;)
