I think Freo really only trade players out when they want to leave. When was the last time we traded a player that wanted to stay (or hadn't indicated they wanted to leave)?
So short of Fyfe, Neale, Bennell or another player that breaks out this year (like a Weller) wanting to leave, we won't trade as I doubt even 2 x 1st round picks would get it done.
Getting Hogan (assuming that he even wants to leave) will take a deal of monstrous proportions. Unless he chooses to walk to the preseason draft which is so dangerous because another club will pick him. It would take a best 22 player and two first round picks at minimum.

If fyfe captain and sign 5 year deal and somehow GWS release sunshine, I don't see we need to do a desperate Hogan deal. Everybody like a dream team, but it will not always going to work out. (Eg fervola deal, Judd deal)

I'm with those who think it would be good for the game for him to stay at Melbourne. Look at the standing Pav has in the game now that the dust has settled. The guy is practically without peer in terms of respect.
Like others have said, he is their Pav.

With all due respect, **** the good of the game

I wonder how much Melbourne fc was thinking about the good of the game when Jeff White went home.

Think your talking out of your backside there meima
Yup , reverse physiology , that mean make him captain, offer him 10 years deal then you wont hear be talking out of my backside anymore , but if you like it but shy to ask can messenge me.:p

If fyfe not captain next year , I think he is gone.

Absolutely NOT.

I am as certain as I can be that Nat Fyfe will never leave Fremantle.
The recent captaincy change is irrelevant in the grand scheme of things.
He will definitely be a one club player. There is nobody wanting to leave Freo these days for a good reason; it is a fantastic club with an outstanding coach.

Fine you can have him, just give us:
Fyfe
Barlow
Walters
Johnson
Hill
And two first rounds picks should get it done ;)
Oh and Neale, Weller, Mayne, Ballentyne and Mundy
It's a sad indictment that after that you'd still only have 10 AFL quality players.

That the case you can keep him or let him be free agent.;)
