I was under the understanding he was stable at the time. Someone from SD had visited him and said he was responsive. Terrible what happened to him but it does not excuse what happened 24 hours earlier. We are in a no win situation with Jesse when it comes to the pack of wolves we have in the media who see us as a soft target.

We have been lambasted for years for failing to draft or trade for a big forward.

We were criticized for doing "Due Diligence" on Jesse during the trade period because we were once again going to fail to attract a decent forward.

There was obviously a reason why we got him cheaper than market value and why Melbourne were willing to do a trade after years of saying no.

Yes, there is risk in any trade but I would rather take a punt on someone who is a proven goal kicker and can make a big difference to how we play.

Once Jesse gets himself right (with support of medical staff and Family) and starts kicking goals for us all of this BS will be forgotten.

For what it is worth I am just as excited as having Lobb on our list!
