Recommitted Jesse Hogan [re-signed with GWS for 2 more seasons]

Should stay at GWS.

He was tracking really well at Melbourne, then Freo got into his ear offering him a huge contract. They were relentless and didn't stop until he said yes, look back at his time at Melbourne and he progressively got worse the longer Freo were chasing him, then it all turned to s**t when he got back home. They almost ruined his career.

If his manager is any good, he'll counsel him to stay at GWS away from the dickheads in Perth and just concentrate on his game. He'll still get paid well at GWS and will most likely win a premiership.

I'm rapt to see him performing well, it would be such a great story if he ends up winning the Coleman this year.

Great story
It was freos fault not the pull of his family and to support his mother?

Hogan was perfectly happy in Melbourne until Freo went after him offering massive money, Freo did it for about 3 years. Freo almost ruined Hogan, best thing he did was to get out of the place.

Your rewriting history.
His father died in mid 2017 from that point on he wanted to go home to support his mother like any normal person would do.
To say it was all about money is slandering Jesse hogan not FFC.

No, *you're rewriting history.

He was perfectly happy at Melbourne and comfortable with how Melbourne were managing his family life.

Freo decided to try and benefit from the situation and kept on throwing money at him to until he said yes. Freo's continual poaching attempts contributed to Hogan's demise, the poor kid was dealing with so much at the time.

Absolutely appalling by Freo to try and benefit from a really tough situation

Out of contract the big key forward, gws in talks to extend but his price keeps going up each week and would see big offers come in if he delays talks

One to keep an eye on, could command serious coin if he keeps this form up
Speculation is just that -
you can only guarantee a couple of things from young footballers. Just look at the media today. some may do that, most are peak of the fitness, some want to fight but all of em are - ready to play -

Jesse almost ruined himself with his poor life choices back home around his circle of friends, It had nothing to do with the Freo footy club. The only thing the club is guilty of is recruiting him to fill a much needed spot in an empty forward line. His state of mind at the time with losing his Dad would have made him more susceptible to such choices.

Bullshit, Freo tried to take advantage of his poor state of mind and recruit a young key forward with enormous potential by offering him a huge contract.

It's amazing how Freo fans like to rewrite history

Took advantage of his poor state of mind? Are you serious ? Why the fck would a professional football club knowingly risk trading
in a player who could potentially tarnish their brand and
future. Get a grip

Give yourself an uppercut, Freo were trying to take advantage of Hogan's situation, everyone knows it except delusional Freo fans

Melbourne should have shown some duty of care and looked after the bloke when he was in such a fragile state. Terrible management.

Duty of care? Melbourne were supporting him all the way through is issues, Freo on the other hand upped their offer and went harder are getting him.

He went down hill in a major way as soon as he signed with Freo

I get it you're trying to defend your club but your argument is ridiculous, you can't rewrite history, the facts are that he went off the rails in a major way as soon as he got back home

I can't be bothered replying to your crap anymore, have a nice day

Likewise. Toodles. Enjoy your s**t sandwich

Disliked him at Melbourne, because Melbourne, and he seemed phoney. Freo is a memory hole, so I forgot about him, but really like him at the Giants. A joyful, effective player and not nasty at all.

A quick look at the Dees board shows he was seen as wasted potential, and most were happy with the picks they got: comments ranged from 'miss him" to "mercenary". The idea Freo took advantage of Hogan or whatever trash is being suggested here is silly. On balance he had to go because he wasn't living up to his contract due to personal issues, chiefly his father's illness and death, and being back with family probably made his life better.

He kicked 40+, 40+, 20+, and 40+ in 4 seasons of 20, 20, 10, and 20 games. The 10-game season was when he had testicular cancer. As you say he also lost his father. I don't see where he didn't live up to his contract

His physical condition wasn't up to professional standard according to the Dees board when he was traded.
