Loved the quality of his game against Hawks but not the quantity. Needs to own the ball more. I love it when he keeps it to himself and just takes off.

Confidence will bring goals and possies for this kid. He's in our top 22 this year. Not by a lot but by enough to keep him there.

My only concern is he reminds me too much of Robbie Ahmat. A talented speedster who sadly faded away.

I know I've posted this vid a couple of years ago but here it is for Jetta. Watch carefully how it's done Lewis.. First you burn off the opposition (no easy task when it's Peter Bell), then you bounce the ball 15m in front of you, then you run inside 50, straighten up and bang it through.

Poor bloke got 3 behinds today, so thats now 0.12, watch it he will kick one and then he just wont stop kicking them.:D

I cant help but wonder how much it'll lift him and the team if he kicks on at a vital time...

Isn't it 0.18 or 19? I think they had it on the tv the other day.

Some of his play was so exciting. He fades in and out of games atm and is still weary of putting his body in but some of his bursts down the wing get the crowd going like nobody else can in our side (aside from Goodesy maybe). Already a crowd favourite, as is Rohan. Even the fair weathered fans who sit near me know who Gary Rohan is which is a good sign.

Jetta should stay in, gives us something nobody else does on our list and when he kicks that goal i want to be there to see it! He will go nuts.

Some of you should have a listen to Macca's interview on the ABC grandstand website.

In the background you can hear the boys talk about a 'record', '12' and 'Jetstar'. Then you can hear someone yell loudly 'JETS, YOU GOT THE RECORD' or at least something like that. I think Jetta says a little resignedly 'I got the record?!' :D

Funny little convo.

On the ABC radio commentary, I think it was Jared Crouch, suggested that the crowd should do a pitch invasion when he kicks his first goal, just as you would when someone kicks their 100th for the season. It's definitely playing on his mind though, there were a few options where he should have passed it off but tried to create space to kick for goal and didn't work out.

It's not only his goalkicking that is off abit, his disposal efficiency was only 20% yesterday, easily the lowest on the ground.I have been hanging on to him in my DT but 34 yesterday and an average of 49 tells me it's time to drop him.Maybe if I do that he'll come good!!!!!!!

I had Hanners, Rohan and Jets in my Midfield and Rohy sat on the bench most of the time but I've since traded Jetta out and bought Danyle Pearce with a bit of extra coin I had.

I love the Jetstar but I had a decent view of some of his possessions/disposals yesterday and they were pretty ineffective. Contrary to what has been said, even from what Roosy has said, I actually don't think he was that clean handed yesterday. He fumbled just as much as anyone. Didn't seem like he was on ground for much time either. Jetta NEEDS to start hitting targets inside 50. It is not happening. It's great that he can chip back infield or put some nice kicks down the wing but we need him hitting our forwards in scoring positions. It will come, I'm sure. Just not sure how long we can wait before other guys start taking his position in the team? I'm a big fan though. C'mon Jets!!

Jetta's kicking is suffering from a lack of confidence, I suspect, and he seems to be second-guessing himself on the field, but I think yesterday he was just centimetres from having a breakout game.

Just a few centimetres here and there on a few occasions were the difference; I'm waiting to watch the replay to see if my impressions are right but he seemed to miss out on just those moments where it's just luck that things come off spectacularly or don't come off ... a couple of his pick-ups, a couple of handballs, a couple of foot passes ... I reckon his past two games have been like that, and it really is just a matter of time before he rips a game apart and everyone's talking about him.

Having said that, I suspect he'll be "rested" sooner rather than later, as teams do with young players these days ... wouldn't be surprised if he misses the Collingwood game.

Wouldn't mind if he played against them and 'tore them a new one'!

If I were Paul Roos, I'd be setting Jetta a minimum target of 5 tackles per game. Look, he's a beautiful, but mostly ineffective footballer at this stage. He needs to be more involved in the game. I can see why we are persisting, but Patty Veszpremi has been languishing for a while now and we know he can go.

Just saw this video on youtube, have to admit I found it pretty funny but you have to feel sorry for the poor bastard:

Ahhh, i couldn't help but laugh. The poor guy, and the vast majority have been at home where the whole crowd so desperately wants to see him finally kick one.

haha it seems even worse when you watch them all together like that, but you gotta admit they were all quality points... I bet his mates give him heaps though.

i feel bad for the guy after watching that...he's come so close so many times...is the record 18 behinds?? i have a feeling he'll kick a couple against geelong...

and to think if he converted even a third of those chances, he'd have some really exciting goals under his belt already...

other than that, i think if he'd already kicked a couple he'd be a much better player atm...his confidence has been knocked about a bit and i think it's effecting his game...

c'mon jet...time to get the monkey off your back...a firing jetta could really spark a swans resurgence this season

With only seeing him on TV and not seeing his options ahead I may be calling him on something that isn't his fault. But he seems to be going full tilt and if his guy is close he ducks back off his line and tries to go inboard. Needs to go that extra step or two and huff it forward.

He has the pace if I was his coach I would send him for tackling sessions as he could be one of the best with his speed. So many times he makes it then just lets them brush him off. Sure you can argue his build but look at the Davey bros they don't have that much on him. He needs to learn to wrap up the hips and not grab at the shoulders.

Exciting to watch though I always hear myself yell "GO"

His miss last week was heartbreaking. I think I've been at the game for all his behinds, except the Adelaide Crows game (ironic).

But, on his tackling, he's had a few where he manages to spin the player holding the ball, just using their guernsey -- Barry Hall, for example -- so I reckon he has the strength/balance to pull it off. So I think it's down to technique, and I agree with you: more tackling sessions for Jetta!

This is kind of getting sad. Hope he cracks it today against Geelong - you just know the team will fire up if the boy who gets 0.16 gets his first!
