The guy has always been a legend - my favourite player of all time and he is a very very good analyst of the game as well as being humorous in a dry and witty way. Totally agree the best thing 7 have done. The Mac was fab the last few years as well.

I wouldnt say the best thing the network has ever done, but I think having an ex-international tennis star like him commentating is good for their coverage, like MacEnroe and Hingis last year and Navratilova aswell.

I reckon he's better than McEnroe. It's not all about him like it is with Mac. Made one of the best points I've heard a sports commentator make when he said Tiger Woods was in the same place three years ago that Roger Federer is right now, and he's not No 1 anymore.
And also, he's taught me about pronation when serving. What more can you ask for?

Whilst he's comes across as a good bloke his interview with Hewitt after the Chela match was embarassing. Talking about Bec Cartwright and Lleyton's Ferrari etc. Not the time and place to hit him up on centre court after a win.

McEnroe had his own tonight show in the US. I actually didn't think it was too bad but it was axed quickly. Courier is a far better talker and has an even quicker wit. I'd say he will land some sort of regular TV gig in the US.campbell said:

How good was his post match interview with Federer - not only is he a mastermind of the game but he also has a great sense of humour.

i was very disappointed when i found out the Mac wasn't on this year's coverage but jim's done a great job. hes a great analyst, can be dryly funny at times (not as funny as the mac) and like the mac, his interviews are great.
