Joe Anderson - Anyone else rate him ?

I think joey has been ok in the seniors, not outstanding but not terrible either.

Not sure if he had been absolutely killing it in the bullants or not. Maybe some of the regular bullant watchers can shed some light in this?

Its a good thing for our footy club that we army, browne dog and joey all fighting for the same spot and the good thing is they all offer different things.

He should be kept on in 2010 in my opinion

The best 22 at Carlton is hard to do because so many have come in, shown something and then gone back out again...with a fully fit squad to choose from, i think it would be hard for many of the yonger players used in the defence this year to make it.

Browne, Armfield, Austin, Anderson...and based on what ratts has been saying, you'll see walker and wiggins come into the team after a few games in the VFL...again, it just makes it difficult for those younger players.

im gonna cry im so happy. one word my fellow blues DEPTH. we're building a lst with massive depth. joey anderson will be great footballer for us. i see him on a wing connecting hb and hf with some BOOMING kicks. this kid can kick the ball

Yeah yeah that's the one.
How does it go after that?

You're good and you're bad
You're happy then sad
You're night then you're day
Straight then you're gay

something like that

Do you know how I know you're gay? :D

Not convinced unfortunately and to be honest I cringe whenever he gets near it.

Hope to be proven wrong but to me he seems well out of his depth at AFL level. Kudos to him for backing into Jonathan Brown last year (as gutsy as it gets) but unless he takes a massive step up in the next couple of weeks I think he may struggle to retain is spot.

Agree 100%.........!

Probably the 'least discussed' player who is in the senior squad right now, I am trying to gauge what the other Blues fans think of young Joey ...

I've been bit of a fan of his for a while, especially when he took that sensational and courageous match saving mark last year at the Gabba.

One of the benefits of Scooter and Stevo's demotion to the VFL, has been giving games to young Joey, and yeah, whilst he's stats haven't been ground breaking, he seems to have improved his kicking from when he first came to the club, and I certainly think he has shown enough to justify getting more games and retaining his spot on the list (which some people might have questioned) at the end of the year.

He isn't a part of our best 22 (yet) but going foward, he should the among the first cab off the ranks in terms of our other unproven youngsters.

If it was up to me, I'd play him for the rest of the year (including finals) but that's probably not going to happen, but I just really hope Ratts keeps on playing him and encourging Joey, he seems to have a really good work ethic, and courage as well, and I think he has a massive upside.

Where do you think is Joey's best position though ? I don't mind having him playing on the wing or down back at CHB as a flanker.
He can't be rated he gets dropped after playing well.I feel sorry for him,we going to screw his career down the toilet. He should have been kept for the rest of the season unless he had a shocker of a game and wasn't up to it.Jordan Russell had like 50 consecutive games while Anderson is lucky to have 2. This is no offence to Russell as he is better then he was years ago but Anderson getting screwed in my opinion.

O.k Anderson is injured,i thought they dropped him. The club did well bringing Austin and Jamison, pity Hartlett is out seems it might be over for him.I like to see Browne get back and play well.

Shame he was injured, has done the job so far. Hope to see him back for a few more games this year along with Browne.

I think he is alright. Glad he got a game recently. It is not easy to come in irregularly and under pressure to win. He has aquitted himself well and looks as if given more games will improve rapidly.

He spoke at the pre match function in WA a few weeks back.

Shy kid, quite likeable.

Funnily, he was out shooting with mates up in the NT on draft day, and was unaware he had been drafted. Forgot all about it apparently.

Was on a plane the next day, and got met at the airport by Ian Coutt's son (who was like 12).

The glamour of life as an AFL footballer hey?

That kid should have coached us!
