And Rogan deserves to be mocked. He fell for an Australian satire ad on covid and he’s supposed to be a ****in comedian.

You would fit in well at a US University where they scream and cry until a speaker is banned that they dont agree with. Basically breeding an entire generation of imbeciles. And Rogan deserves to be mocked. He fell for an Australian satire ad on covid and he’s supposed to be a fu**in comedian.
I think there's a difference between nonsense (just spinning shit, having Peterson on to act bonkers, all that type of stuff) and hosting real anti-vax grifters who are spreading outright lies and feeding vaccine hesitancy and the anti-vax scene. What do u really hate about Rogan? Not woke enough for u?

Im still of the opinion he should interview intellectuals, celebs and politicians on both sides and the public should decide if they are nutters or not.I think there's a difference between nonsense (just spinning sh*t, having Peterson on to act bonkers, all that type of stuff) and hosting real anti-vax grifters who are spreading outright lies and feeding vaccine hesitancy and the anti-vax scene.
Rogan's harmless at the best of times, he has some controversial figures on, so what. At his worst he is spreading lies that harm people.
They have platforms already - social, web sites and so on.Im still of the opinion he should interview intellectuals and celebs and the public should decide if they are nutters or not.
This site is the same. You mods shouldnt ban people who have differing opinions. Just call them out. (which u all do anyway)They have platforms already - social, web sites and so on.
What is rogan bringing to it? What intelligent questions does he have that make the guest's ideas more understandable? How does he challenge them?
We should come away understanding more about the truth of the guest's claims and about the solidity of the basis of their opinions.
He should get backlash if he platforms dangerous lies without challenging them.
The ones that tell continual lies, we often have had to drop. The ones that promote intolerance and hate, we often drop. The ones that act like campaigners to other people, we often drop. This site is the same. You mods shouldnt ban people who have differing opinions. Just call them out. (which u all do anyway)
That's good.I understand some of that. Im an admin/moderator of a game discord and i am very tolerant. Naughty words that may offend females i remove but otherwise, I will just have a private word to the offender and everything is sorted. Blocking or banning someone is very rarely needed. In fact, in 3 years i havnt had to ban anyone.
I wont mention what game. But we are the most succussful and populated Aussy server
Everything is offensive to someone these days.Common sense . Its obvious expert trollers and agitators will professionally deflect. Out of expert practice. Offensive material (agreed-criteria is hard to decipher) should also be banned. Legit differences of opinion as long as its done with attacking the point of view but not the person who views it- should be a fair game. But its emotional discourse sometimes in the topics we traverse. Just restraint in not attacking an individual is all I would hope to see.
But in BF we span many backgrounds, ages and diversity of views. Still. As mostly adults, it shouldnt be too hard to follow basic principles of arguing or contesting a point with dignity and intelligence and not abuse.
Telltale signs always there. Childishness. Mischief making for the sake of it. Provocation.Need to decide whether the comment is genuinely offensive or if its some nutter getting offended over nothing.
You can say the words male or female and some crazy will crack the shits.
And even then, the comment can be removed and the person spoken to privately. Banning is so childish in most cases.
You’d fit in well with a right wing apologist like Rogan. Yes he’s had Bernie on but how many times has he had Shapiro and Peterson on?You would fit in well at a US University where they scream and cry until a speaker is banned that they dont agree with. Im a massive fan and follower of Kyle and follow the amazing atheist. Never heard of GettrYou’d fit in well with a right wing apologist like Rogan. Yes he’s had Bernie on but how many times has he had Shapiro and Peterson on?
If you look at his overall number of political guests per episode, most of them have been right wing. Has he ever had Sam Seder on? Destiny?
The Amazing Atheist more than once? Kyle Kulinski back on? You know, people who can actually push back against all the right wing bullshit his audience is generally exposed to. AOC for balance. Speaking of TAA he mentioned a book about how both sides don’t care about free speech, they just want their side to dominate.
Heard of Gettr? It’s very pro trump and it turns out they’ve been banning lefties so don’t act as if the right are the champions of free speech.
And to the other poster, Alex Jones isn’t some harmless buffoon. He still has a big platform and Rogan has defended him many times referring to him as a friend and great guy (he’s undeniably a piece of sh*t) and that he’s “right about a lot of sh*t.”
That’s not healthy, legitimising a ******* like Alex and it shows how f*n biased Rogan is. He’s no different than that ******* Tim Pool.
You seem to be one of those who think anyone who follows Rogan is far right. That is not the case. You’d fit in well with a right wing apologist like Rogan. Yes he’s had Bernie on but how many times has he had Shapiro and Peterson on?

It's between the user and the moderators. Always has been.I wish there was a way it was shown what thread they got the ban from. I see someone arguing fairly with a mod and they are suspended soon after. And logically, I assume its for that. Could be some comment from another thread but it always looks like one of your mods gets shitty about being shown up.
Rogan interviewed Alex Jones, who is clearly a drunk imbecile, for entertainment.
MSNBC interviews paid military goons and defence contractors for "balanced takes" on foreign policy, as part of a news service.
Which one is more damaging?

I think Seder would be willing to talk to Rogan, though. Jimmy Dore is another one who plays into the anti vax grift and same with Russell Brand. Sam Harris is the only one of the IDW who hasn’t sold out to that bullshit.AOC is a total muppet.
She's the kind of populist moron who wouldn't come on because her sh*t stain followers would have a massive sook about appearing on his show.
The very reason why Joe had Andrew Yang and Tulsi Gabbard on instead. They are normal people who are interesting. Unlike a virtue signaller like AOC.
And he wouldn't have Seder on because JR is friends with Dore and both of them hate that fat sack of sh*t Cenk and the Young Turks who Seder is friends with.
No, but I think most of Rogan’s fanbase are right leaning and put too much emphasis into this culture war distraction bullshit, and place too much value on chest beating machismo. You seem to be one of those who think anyone who follows Rogan is far right. That is not the case.
